Section 1: Shuttle Bus Regulations • No food or drink of any kind is allowed on the shuttle bus with the exception of water bottles, travel mugs, and other drinking containers with sealable lids which are permitted. • Please ensure that you have all your belongings when you get off the bus. If you do leave something on the bus, please contact studentsuccess@tbcollege.com. LCIT is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Food items will be discarded immediately. • In accordance with the Smoke-free Places Act and By-Law N-300 (Respecting Nuisances and Smoking), smoking and vaping on municipal property, including transit property and sidewalks, is permitted only within municipal designated smoking areas (DSAs). This includes both smoking and vaping tobacco and cannabis products. Smoking of any kind is prohibited on the bus. • Drivers will do their best to follow pickup and departure times. However, the safety of college students and staff is our top priority, and LCIT does not assume responsibility for any delays caused by weather or traffic etc. • LCIT will have designated pickup and drop-off locations for easier access to the bus. Section 2: Terms of Use • The bus pass is non-transferable and can only be used by the student who purchased it. • Altering or reproducing the pass is prohibited. If you are caught using an altered bus pass, disciplinary action, including fines, will be applied. • The bus pass belongs to LCIT and cannot be sold, exchanged, or given away. It is to be used for the LCIT shuttle service only. • Lost bus pass can be replaced for $4 per pass. • Any individual wanting to use the shuttle bus must present their pass to the bus driver. • If you are experiencing issues with your pass, please bring the pass to the front desk receptionist. Section 3: Accommodation Requests for boarding the bus If you require accommodation for boarding the shuttle bus, please contact studentsuccess@tbcollege.com. Section 4: Refunds Shuttle Bus passes are non-transferable. We will try to accommodate all the students who have requested the shuttle bus service. I f your request cannot be fulfilled, you will be notified by email and a refund will be processed within 20 business days. LCIT reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the buses. Expectations LCIT expects that student conduct on the shuttle buses will be consistent with that of the student on campus. Students riding the shuttle bus shall cooperate with the driver in the safe and efficient operation of the bus. A student who fails to abide by the rules or misbehaves on the bus may be denied bus transportation. Failure to follow shuttle bus guidelines may result in a loss of access to the services and potential Loyalist College Student Code of Conduct violation sanctions. In addition, the College will not tolerate inappropriate, rude, or threatening attitudes toward staff, the shuttle bus driver, or other students. If you are uncertain about any expectations, please communicate with the college staff.
