OBJECTIVES
1) Students were able to identify the pneumatic systems air bleed valve that
used in HS-125 aircraft.

2) Students have the ability to maintain the air bleed valve to operates in
HS-125 aircraft.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENTS

1) HS 125 aircraft

2) Toolbox C/W Common Tools

3) Torque Wrench

4) Torchlight

5) Blank for valve and duct

6) Maintenance step

REQUIRED MATERIALS

1) Rags
PROCEDURES

REMOVE VALVE

1) Isolate relevant electrical circuit.

2) Disconnect electrical cable socket-plug from the valve socket.
3) Undo clamps securing valve to duct and bellows assembly; remove
valve and seals.
4) Fit blanks to valve, duct and bellows assembly.

B. INSTALL VALVE

1) Remove blanks from valve, duct and bellows assembly.

2) Position valve so that the arrow on the valve body indicates direction
of airflow, fit serviceable seals and secure valve to duct and bellows
assembly using clamps. Torque-load V-clamp bolt nuts to 70-80 lb.in.
(pre Mod. 252180) or to 40-50 lb.in (Mod.252180) at the connection
to the duct only and to 45-55 lb.in (pre Mod. 252180) or to 40-50 lb.in
(Mod.252180) at the connection to the bellows assembly.
3) Connect socket-plug to the valve socket.
4) Restore electrical circuit.

C. CHECK/TEST AFTER INSTALLATION

1) Start an engine and set throttle to ground idle.

2) Operate AIR VALVE selector switch to OPEN and check that the
valve motor to the fully open position in 10 to 14 seconds, also that
the associated magnetic indicator indicates OPEN.
3) Check valve joints, by feel of hand for leaks.
4) Operates selector switch to CLOSE and check that the valve motors to
the fully closed position, also that the magnetic indicator indicates
SHUT.
5) Shut down the engine
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1) Students read and understand the WARNING and CAUTION notes as

stipulated in the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) / Aircraft
Service Manual (ASM).

2) Students carry out the practical as per the task card in accordance with
AMM / ASM.

Students carry out proper house-keeping upon completion of tasks

CONCLUSSION

The practical session that were given task to carry out the pneumatic
system air bleed valve removal, inspection and installation have met the
objectives. All the procedures and safety precautions have been done
during the practical session in accordance with HS-125 Aircraft
Maintenance Manual Chapter 21-10-05.
