Experiment procedure, clipper circuit
1. Connect the sine wave oscillator ( or function generator , sine selected ) with the input of
the circuit. Keep both supply controls to minimum and both switches in off position. Con-
2. Apply input sine wave 1 Khz, to obtain 5 Vpp signal upon CRO.
3. Switch on S1. Observe the trace appearing. Increase +Vb voltage and observe its ef-
fect upon the waveform. The introduced +Vb level may be found from CRO.
4. Switch off 51 and switch on 52. Repeat step 3, and trace the waveform.
5. Switch on S1 and 52 both. Trace the waveform upon the paper. Conclude the result.
1 . Connect the sine wave oscillator ( or function generator , sine selected ) with the input of
the circuit. Keep both supply controls to minimum and both switches in off position. Con-
nect CRO across the output. Keep both supply controls minimum (fully counter - clockwise
direction).
2. Apply input sine wave 1 Khz, to obtain 3 Vpp signal upon CRO.
3. Switch on S1. Observe the trace appearing. Trhce it upon paper. Measure the intro-
4. Switch off S1 and observe the signal goes back to zero line with discharge time RC
5. Connect RL and switch on S1 . note the dc clamp level. Switch off S1 and observe the
