Site Acceptance: Static Tests
Site Acceptance: Static Tests
The following tests are required for testing the LTE network:
All tests should be labeled properly.
STATIC TESTS
1- Attach/detach 5 attempts.
2- Ping.
3-FTP Download & Upload.
4-UDP Download & Upload.
5- Smart phone browsing
6- CSFB MO/MT IDLE.
7- CSFB MO/MT CONNECTED.
8- Cell edge UL & DL.
9-IRAT from 4G to 3G.
MOBILITY TESTS (both tests will be run simultaneously in the same DT) & check cross
1-UL Coverage.
2-DL Coverage.
1-Attach/detach: In this test we have to connect/disconnect for 5 times using our UE (USB modem) check add core or not.
-Lock the UE in LTE (Ensure Good Radio Condition)
-Turn OFF the UE data and load the script.
-[START RECORDING] RUN the script [STOP RECORDING].
-IDLE
- CONNECTED
3- FTP upload/Download server: to check maximum & Average rate for cell.
For 10MHZ carrier (Download (avg.>55 Mbps) /Upload (avg.>17 Mbps)
-Make sure no other tests are being run in the background. Eg. Internet Browsing, FTP UL, Youtube, etc.
Use FileZilla for FTP.
-Ensure that the UE is Locked in LTE.
-Then take a screenshot of static DL&UL from Netpersec as shown below
FileZilla Software:-
-Download fileZilla software setup using the below link
https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client
-After the completion of installing the setup open the software and enter the following details and press ENTER (Make sure that
you are connected to the internet).
Host: 10.216.3.90
Username : Alcatel
Password: 00000000
-Now you are connected to the FTP server.
-DL using FileZilla can be done selecting and then dropping the required files from Server Database to the selected
folder in our drive.
-UL using FileZilla can be done selecting and then dropping the required files from selected folder in our drive to the
Server Database.
4-UDP Download & Upload : to check maximum & Average rate for cell.
Throughput in UDP(error detection only not error correction ) higher than FTP (error detection and error correction)ACK&NACK
- Download:
-Make sure no other tests are being run in the background. Eg. Internet Browsing, FTP UL, Youtube, etc.
-Type the following in cmd prompts:
iperf -s -u -i 1 (on UE laptop cmd prompt)
iperf -c <UEIP> -u -t 3600 -b 100M -l 1024 ( on secure CRT cmd prompt -FTP server) .
-get UEIP from cmd prompt ipconfig(my IP)
-Upload :
-Make sure no other tests are being run in the background. Eg. Internet Browsing, FTP UL, Youtube, etc.
Type the following in cmd prompts:
iperf -s -u -i 1 (on secure CRT cmd prompt -FTP server)
iperf -c 10.216.3.90 -u -t 3600 -b 30M -l 1024. (On UE laptop cmd prompt)
-Then take a screenshot of static DL&UL from Netpersec Same above FTP TEST.
5-Smartphone Browsing : In the test we will make HTTP browsing using the Smartphone.
-Verify that you are able to browse and stream YouTube in the respective cell.
-Make sure that the UE is in Good Radio Conditions i.e., (SNR>25, CQI=15, RSRP < -70dbm)
-Connect the UE(MOBILE) in Not Locked mode.
IDLE MODE CSFB:- Turn OFF the Mobile data [START RECORDING]and initiate MOC then CSFB occurs from 4G to 3G
and call is established, terminate the call and wait until the cell reselection occurs to 4G [STOP RECORDING] then
[START RECORDING]repeat the same process by MTC[STOP RECORDING].
7- CSFB MO/MT CONNECTED.
-Make sure that the UE is in Good Radio Conditions i.e., (SNR>25, CQI=15, RSRP < -70dbm)
-Connect the UE(MOBILE) in Not Locked mode.
DEDICATED MODE CSFB:- Turn ON the mobile data and Run DL FTP using FileZilla. [START RECORDING]and initiate
MOC then CSFB occurs from 4G to 3G and call is established, terminate the call and wait until the cell reselection
occurs to 4G [STOP RECORDING] then [START RECORDING]repeat the same process by MTC[STOP RECORDING].
8- CELL EDGE UL & DL (at RSRP from -100 to -108 dbm)
FOR CELL EDGE DL: Ensure that the UE is Locked in LTE.[Record the Log File] Then take a screenshot of static Cell
Edge DL&UL from Netpersec as shown below must exceed (5 Mbps dl ) & for(1 Mbps ul ) 10MHZ BW.
9-IRAT from 4G to 3G:
-Ensure the UE in “NOT LOCKED” mode with weak 4G signal of respective cell.
-Now [START RECORDING] attenuate the UE so that the UE technology is handed-over to 3G (IRAT HANDOVER
OCCURS) [STOP RECORDING].
2-RSRQ: Reference Signal Received Quality Indicates quality of the received signal, and its range is typically -
19.5dB(bad) to -3dB (good).is defined as the ratio N×RSRP/(E-UTRA carrier RSSI), N is the number of RB’s of the E-
UTRA carrier RSSI measurement bandwidth.
3- RSSI: Represents the entire received power including the wanted power from the serving cell as well as all co-
channel power and other sources of noise and it is related to the above parameters through the following formula:
RSRQ=N*(RSRP/RSSI)
4-SINR: is the reference value used in the system simulation and can be defined: Wide band SINR for a specific sub-
carriers (or for a specific resource elements)All measured over the same bandwidth.
5- Reference Signal :RS(RSRP) is a special signal that exists only at PHY layer, When UE try to figure out DL power the
power of the signal from a e-NB), it measure the power of this reference signal and take it as downlink cell power.
-Cluster Acceptance:
1st Drive: DL (modem) (FTP) + attach/detach (modem) (script)
