Program Comments: “Design Thinking”
programme at IIM-Bangalore was one of the
best investment that I have done in recent
past for my development. The program
covered various area’s of design thinking
concepts (industries agnostic) which were
easy to understand and internalize. The case
studies presented during the program did
give valuable ideas on how we can start using
the design thinking process in our day to day
work. I was able to use the simple method
taught during the program to solve some long
pending challenges related to process within
my current engineering team. I would surely
recommend this program to professionals

I’ve participated in the Design Thinking
Program of IIM Bangalore during Nov,2019. I
truly enjoyed the topic which was presented
in a very lucid manner by the lectures and
where a great cohort of participants from
diversified backgrounds also shared truly
insightful interspersed experiences with top-
notch practical exercises. Upon returning to
my organization, I was able to disseminate

Programme DirectorS
Ganesh N Prabhu
Ganesh is Professor of Strategy at IIMB.
He did his post-graduation from the
Institute of Rural Management Anand
and is a Fellow of IIM Ahmedabad. He
won the Best Young Teacher Award
and Best Research Paper Award from
the Association of Indian Management Schools. Since
1996 he teaches strategy courses across programs
and offers an elective on new product development in
the post-graduate program at IIMB. He has conducted
several senior management team visioning workshops
and been actively involved in mentoring aspiring
entrepreneurs, start-ups and small firms. Ganesh was
earlier a nominated member of the India Design Council.
While at IIMB he has consulted on major turnaround
projects and prior to his doctoral studies he was an
Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of the
Punjab Milk Federation for a year on a major turnaround
project.
Vinay Dabholkar
Vinay is an independent consultant
and for the past decade he has been
helping organizations foster a culture
of innovation. His clients include
Oracle, Adobe, Tech Mahindra, Kotak
Mahindra, Titan, Airbus etc. He also
works with not-for-profit organizations like Agastya
(school education) and Orbis (healthcare). He is a co-
author of the book “8 steps to innovation”. He has
been an Adjunct/Guest faculty at IIM Bangalore and IIT
Bombay. In the past few years, he has been researching
on cognitive illusion and its relationship with creativity and
mindfulness. Prior to starting the consulting career, Vinay
worked for a decade in Motorola in US and Sasken in
Bangalore. He did his B. Tech. from IIT Bombay and PhD
from SUNY Buffalo both in Computer Science.
IIMB has adopted the ZOOM platform to conduct
synchronous online live sessions after careful
evaluation of multiple options. It helps create a
learning environment that is quite similar to a face
to face class, and also provides pedagogical tools
that facilitate discussion based learning. Participants
will need to have a computer that can download
Zoom software and a sound Internet connection to
attend the sessions. With extensive experience and
feedback from resource persons and participants
over the past few months, IIMB has concluded
that the learning can be enhanced if sessions are
conducted in compact durations of about 1:15
minutes. Accordingly, the sessions for this program
will be held from 9.00 am to 1.15 pm in 3 sessions of
approximately 1:15 minutes each with breaks.

Programme Fee and Payment
INR 76,500/- (+ Applicable GST) per person
for participants from India and its equivalent
in US Dollars for participants from other
countries.
The programme fee should be received by
the Executive Education Office before the
programme commencement date. In case of
cancellations, the fee will be refunded only if
a request is received at least 15 days prior to
the start of the programme.
If a nomination is not accepted, the fee will
be refunded to the person / organisation
concerned.
Discount
Early Bird Discount: Nominations received
with payments on or before 4-Nov-20 will be
entitled to an Early Bird Discount of 5%.
Early Bird Fee INR 72,625/- (+ Applicable
GST)
Please note: All enrollments are subject to review
and approval by the programme director. Joining
Instructions will be shared with the organisation if
sponsored or to the participants on selection 10 days
prior to the start of the programme.
A certificate of participation will be awarded
to the participant by IIMB on completion of the
programme.
