Introduction to the topic
RECRUITMENT

Recruitment means to estimate the available and to make


suitable arrangements for their selection and appointment.
Recruitment is understood as the process of searching for and
obtaining applicants for the jobs, from among whom the right people
can be selected.

Recruitment is defined as a process of discovering reliable sources of


contacting desirable employees which meets the staffing
requirement of the organization. Through recruitment process the
organization can attract the adequate number of manpower to
facilitate the effective selection process and joining of efficient work
force.

Need for recruitment:- Vacancies due to promotions, transfer,


retirement, terminations, permanent disability, death and labour
turnover. Creation of new vacancies due to the growth, expansion
and diversification of business activities of an enterprise. In addition,
new vacancies are possible due to job specification.

SELECTION:- Selection is define as the process of differentiating


between applicants in order to identify (and hire) those with a
greater likelihood of success in a job.

Selection is basically picking an applicant from (a pool of applicants)


who has the appropriate qualification and competency in do the job.
Selection is a long process, commencing from the preliminary
interview of the applicants and ending with the contract of
employment.
Employment Engagement is a properly of the relation between an
organization and its employees.

HR practitioners believe that the engagement challenge has a lot to do with


how employee feels about the about work experience and how he or
she treated in organization. It has a lot to do with emotions which
are fundamentally related to drive bottom line success in a company.
There will always be people who never give their best efforts no
matter how hard HR and line managers try to engage them but for
the most part employees want to commit to companies because
doing so satisfies a powerful and a basic need in connect with and
contribute to something significant organization there are different
types of people.

has always encouraged diversity in its workforce and this is deeply in
its culture and DNA. The bank’s philosophy of meritocracy and equal
opportunity in its people decisions led to a large number of
leadership positions being held by women over the last two decades.

Literature Review

Employee engagement-

Employee engagement is a workplace approach resulting in a right


condition for all members of the organization to give of their best
each day, committed to their organization’s goals values, motivated
to contribute to organisational success, with an enhanced sense of
their own well-being.

Why is employee engagement so important?

As a manager, keeping your employees engaged is perhaps the


biggest challenge you face. It’s also a huge opportunity to gain long-
term commitment and discretionary effort from your term. That
effort will ultimately lead to higher sales and fewer mistakes. There is
more and more convincing evidence that improving employee
engagement can significantly improve company performance across
a number of key areas, such as; profitability, productivity, customer
satisfaction, innovation, health and safety, sickness and absence,
turnover and wellbeing.

Objective of the study:- 1.To understand the conceptual framework


of employee engagement practise and involvement.

2. To study various area in the employee engagement practise and


involvement.

Scope of study:- Effective employee engagement and involvement


leads to employee commitment.

Research design:- A structure questionnaire is designed and


administered to elicit responses from the employees of ICICI Bank.
The proposed study is both analytical and descriptive in nature. The
data is collected through the structured questionnaire.

Data collection tools: Data collection tool used for quantitative.


Data collection was structure questionnaire.

Data analysis: Results of quantitative data were through dashboard


statistics.
