CHILD HEALTH NURSING PRESENTATION

1. Newborn Care Week Celebration (15th – 21st November 2018)

Newborn care week observed between 15th - 21st November 2018, with the aim of generating
awareness and suggests measures to improve the health of the new born and subsequently their
survival. The programme was organized in three different areas –CHC in Jheet Village,
Paediatric, obstetrics & Gynaecology OPDS, antenatal & postnatal wards of AIIMS hospital
Raipur. Activities during the week were:

1. Poster exhibition on newborn care,


2. Demonstration on proper breast feeding techniques,
3. Display of antenatal & postnatal diets,
4. Role play on various aspects related to newborn care was conducted.

AWARDS, HONOURS AND SIGNIFICANT EVETS- College of Nursing received Best NNF
President Appreciation Award for Outstanding Newborn Week Celebration form National
Neonatology Forum

2 . School Health Programme & Health Camp (1st – 2nd February 2019)

Activities carried out during programme

1. Conducted at Chhattisgarh Shashkiya Purva-Madhayamik Vidhyalaya, Mohba Bazar.


2. Health education for class 6th -8th standard on personal hygiene, dental hygiene,
environmental sanitation, Healthy food and nutrition & for class 9th -12th standard on
Prevention of accidents, Reproductive Health Education and stress management techniques.

3. Exhibition on communicable and non communicable diseases, role of students in


environmental sanitation, and nutrition

4. Newborn Care week (15th to 21st .11.2019)

Activities carried out during programme

 Radio broadcasting regarding aspects of newborn care in All India Radio and My FM Raipur
 Poster Exhibition and Video assisted teaching focusing on Essential newborn care in CHC Gudhiyari
and OBG & Pediatric OPD, post natal ward of AIIMS, Raipur       
 Workshop on Neonatal Resuscitation
 Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) for students and Nursing Officers with the aim of improving
knowledge and skills, Theme: Striving towards Excellence in Neonatal Care
 Intercollegiate Poster and Quiz competition for nursing students.

5.Pediatric nursing emergency preparedness programme for covid-19 (PNEPPCO)  on 21st –


22th october 2021(1st round). 
Activities carried out during programme

TOT training for nurses regarding Pediatric nursing emergency preparedness programme for
covid-19

a) Triaging and Stabilization of a Sick Child
b) Oxygenation Using Low and High Flow Devices
c) IV and Drug Therapy
d) Ventilation & Equipments
e) Nutrition in children during COVID-19
f) IV and Drug Therapy
g) Infection Control Practices

6.Pediatric nursing emergency preparedness programme for covid-19 (PNEPPCO)  on 22nd &


23rd February 2022 (2 nd round).
