(h) Draw the schematic of a tree topology.
(i) What do you mean by phase angle spectra?
(j) State any two applications of notch filter.

PART – B
(Answer all five units, 5 X 10 = 50 Marks)
UNIT – I
2 Obtain the equation for phase shift and power factor for an RLC series circuit on AC excitation. Also draw
the phasor diagram.

3 A resistance R, an inductance L = 0.01 H, and a capacitance C are connected in series. When a voltage
𝑣𝑣 = cos(3000𝑡𝑡 − 10°) volts is applied to this series circuit, the current flowing is 𝑖𝑖 = 10√2 cos(3000𝑡𝑡 −
55°) amperes. Compute R and C.

4 Discuss about the measurement of reactive power in balanced and unbalanced three phase systems.
