Receipt for Steak and Kidney Pie

Ingredients
- 300g puff pastry
- Beat up one egg and one extra egg yellow
- 2 spoons of vegetable oil
- 700g breased steak rolled
- 2 rolled onions
- 30g flour
- 850ml beef broth
- salt and pepper
- a dash of Worcestershire Sauce

First you have to preheat the oven to 220. Then heat the vegetable oil
in a skillet and sear the whole beef. Maybe you have to do this in
batches. Give this on the side and sear the kidneys on both sides. Add
the onions and cook it for 3-4 minutes. Then add the beef to the pan,
sprinkle a little flour over it and coat the meat and onions.
Put the broth into the pan, stir good and bring it to a boil. Then turn
the heat down and cook it uncovered for 11/2 hours. If the liquid boil
away too much, then you have to add more stock.
Remove from the stove. Then add salt, pepper and Worcestershire
sauce. Let this cool completely. Pour the cooked meat mixture into a
cake pan. Roll the dough out to 5mm larger than the dish you are
using. Lift the pastry and place it over the top of the cake pan. Crimp
the edges with your hand. Then brush the top with the egg mix and
bake it for 35 minutes until it’s puffed. Serve the cream mash and the
steamed vegetables, that it sucks in.
