Emojis
Apart from making brass type, we can also make special type-high emojis for you from your black and white artwork.
As these are made ‘type high’, you can use them together with your type as shown in the middle image below. For a
quotation, please email us your artwork.

The image on the right hand side shows ‘Type high dies’. There
are similar to the above emojis but only larger. As such, they
may not fit inside a Slip Case as such but will lock into the
Chase. This thus also makes then suitable to be used with our
brass type.

Prices shown in EUROS, USD & AUD are shown as guide prices only. The actual prices will be charged in British Pounds (£) as shown on Page 25 . All prices +VAT. No
VAT is charged if we are exporting outside the EU or those in the EU who have a valid VAT Number. UK residents must pay VAT.
Price of Lowercase letter are the same as Capital letters.
Currently, we only supply ‘Slip Cases’ in the following sizes: 10pt, 12pt, 14pt, 18pt, 24pt, 30pt, and 36pt, 42pt & 48pt (Please refer to Page 27)

Image 1 shows a range of Slip Cases in various point (pt) sizes which we supply to hold metal or brass
type. Internal measurements are about 4" (100mm).
Image 2 shows brass letters held securely within a Slip Case. Quads & Spacers are used to fill in excess
space within a slip case and also to leave greater character spacing between individual letters, if
required.
The example on the left shows us

In the top line, we are using an emoji

and the second line, we using text.
The machine which we are using

here is the Foilcraft 4x3 where the
excess spacing is filled in long pieces
of aluminium bars known as ‘Spacing
Furniture’. These are supplied with
the machine at no extra cost (free of
charge).

Prop Up Bar
for Foilcraft Junior and Foilcraft EZ Pro
Prop up bar is a useful tool which helps to lift type and slip case away from the surrounding spacing furniture.
This helps to avoid any misprints which can sometimes be caused by spacing furniture, especially when
pressing onto soft surfaces. Prop up tools are an optional extra and are available in 18, 24, 30 and 36pt and
possibly other sizes upon request.
Chase STEP 1
Prop up bar When printing, it is always good practice to locate your type
towards the centre of the chase (in all directions).
Spacing Fill bottom section of chase with spacing furniture and then place

Slip Case STEP 2

(with Type)
Next, place your slip case/type on top of the prop up bar
STEP 3
Fill the remaining part of the chase with spacing furniture and
secure by locking the two screws at the top of the chase.
Please make sure that letters, slip cases etc are all flush before
you switch the machine on.
STEP 4
Bring handle down gently onto your product and square up the
print head by carefully adjusting the four press screws if required.
The chase should now be ideally parallel to your product and you
should be able to create a ‘blind impression’ onto a piece of card
by applying pressure onto the handle. Once you are happy with
everything, switch on the machine and when ready, create a test
print before printing onto your products.

Brass Dies
We can engrave Brass Dies from your black and white artwork. Our dies are deep etched which
make them very suitable for stamping onto leather. With deep etched dies, you are sure to
benefit from a clean and crisp print, everytime.
Brass Dies are hard wearing when compared to those made with other inferior materials.
We can accept artwork as jpeg, Adobe Illustrator (AI), PDF’s etc . Please save them as high
resolution in black and white and avoid very thin lines, small fine print, dots, halftones etc as
they maybe more difficult to engrave and very small letters or lines very close together may ‘fill
in’.

Please note: Special orders for dies, type and emojis are non refundable as they will be custom
made for you - this is clearly covered under the ‘Distance Selling Act’.
