Abstraction
To sum up what you have learned in this module, answer the following.
Application
Directions: Assuming you are the player, what actions would you take on the
following scenarios?
1. In your team, the players are very skillful in service but very poor in some other
skills in playing volleyball which lead your team to always loss the game. What
would you do to level up your team in order to win the game? Why?
- To level up my team, I will require all members to train and master all
fundamental skills in playing volleyball and this will make my team improve
our game play. If my team will master all fundamental skills in volleyball,
then they will not just be skillful in service but also in passing, setting,
attacking and blocking as well.
2. There are two players in your team who are expert in attacking like spiking and
blocking. They are your weapons to always go far in competition but always
misbehave in your team in a way that they already become arrogant and
underestimated the skills and ability of your teammates during competition.
How are you going to handle the situation? Will you still allow them to play?
Why?
- With this kind of attitude, I will not allow them to play but that does not
mean that I will remove them from the team, this is only to teach them a
lesson and show them the importance of team play. I will tell them not to
underestimate anyone most of all their own teammates, because no one
starts at being expert. I will also remind them that they are nothing without
the team, and they should be having fun in playing volleyball.
