No matter how hard to live every day, we must always find ways to be a better person and strive to fulfill
our dreams.
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management, is not a choice of degree for me. Cause I
always wanted to pursue BS Criminology. At first, it was a disappointment, and a lose of hope for me. It
came to the point that i am almost in the verge of crying while asking myself "what happened?, what to
do now?". And then I got to experience this course and it feels like all my hopes are back again. But of
course, sorrow is still there. I had struggle of telling this to my parents. I don't know how can I explain it
to them. But i manage to do so and just like any parents in the world, my parents supported whatever
choices i make and will make because they trust me. I even received their support and encouragement,
they never judge my choices instead they push me to love this course for me to survive and finish it. To
be Ism student is not easy, some will compare us to criminology students, in intelligence and ability. I
keep my cool about this unending comparison cause I believe silence is the best weapon for it but even
the idea of it hurts me a lot. On the brighter side I managed to believed that we don’t need to compete to
anybody. Their criticism don't matter.
The study of criminal law is very complicated, difficult, and confusing. For you to understand
criminal law, you need to read it over and over again due to the fact that you can't understand it by merely
reading it once. You need to exert effort, perseverance and willingness for studying criminal law.
Although, this is a complicated course to deal with, the satisfaction and festivities after studying this is
indeed heaven. I have learned a lot, and those learning will serve as a guide to my chosen career in the
future. When we say Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management it is a program that involves
the study and application of the principles of security. They say that " it prepares its graduates to assume
supervisory roles. It involves the study of the principles and methods of risks management and the
applicable interventions that confronts all types of human conditions and endeavors. It also includes the
study and practice of the means of protecting resources from loss of damage." Personally speaking, what I
have learned about criminal law will utilize my capability and competence as professional security
personnel. It did changes my view and perspective after i study criminal law and that make me want to
pursue this course even more. I am grateful for having the chance to study this, and I think I can use it
whenever I am, and whatever I am.
"Whenever you want to achieve something, keep your eyes open, concentrate and make sure you
know exactly what it is you want. No one can hit their target with their eyes closed". I know for a fact,
that living is indeed a difficult journey. Achieving something with no certainty is frustrating, but
believing that you can is something to be proud of. It is our will and courage that will lead us to our
dreams. There is no hindrance, on the person who works hard.
