2.2 PROBLEM STATEMENT

House flies are commonly found at homes and business premises in Malaysia. For the
consequence, the fly carry bacteria that are harmful toward human be in contact with us.
Therefore, we must control these bugs to prevent any disease that will cause fever and
diarrhea. As a result, house flies must be eradicated not only in one’s own home, but also in
commercial and public spaces such as livestock farms, restaurants, fish markets, and other
places where monitoring and controlling house flies is more difficult than in a closed
environment. Sanitation and insecticide spray are two alternative methods for controlling and
destroying house flies, although they can be harmful to human and animal health. As a result,
we must devise a cautious solution to the house fly problem. To counter this issue, we did
significant adjustments to existing product and came up with the concept of designing a
suitable bug trap. Furthermore, we must create a chemical substance to lure house flies in
order to place a bug trap at the bottom of the product that is safe for humans and animals.

6
2.3 PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

The bug trap will be beneficial if it has a large fleet of electric grids that can rapidly
eliminate houseflies coming from every source. The goal of this research is to grasp the
concept and process of technology entrepreneurship through language and communication.
Also, to show management and entrepreneurship skills in spotting technology-based market
opportunities. Therefore, students can analyze the company by their SWOT and CTC

14
5.0 FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION

5.1 FINDINGS

EnFresh Pest & Hygiene Services Sdn. Bhd has been analyze to identify the
weakness in their products. This analysis may improve their revenues in the markets.
The enhancement can be used to produce a good fly trap that will satisfy customer’s
needs.

5.1.1 Problem 1 – Using too many UV lights

The fly usually attracted by UV lights. But these can cause harm towards skin
humans particularly in large range. However, it also could attract insects and kill
harmful bacteria.

5.1.2 Problem 2 – Expensive equipment

Because you must deal with fewer customers, an expensive product will almost
always result in less customer service. Customers will be looking for things that are
both economical and of good quality. Customers may hesitate to spend money on an
expensive item if it is too expensive. Because most customers are moderate, if the
product is too expensive, the corporation will be impossible to make a profit if the
user is not interested in purchasing it.

15
5.2 DISCUSSION ( Alternate Solution)

From the analysis, we can identify the problems that has to be solve. There is
probably more problem that should be discussed. However, we will be focus on these
two major problems which are too many UV lights used and expensive equipment.

5.2.1 Solution for problem 1

Even though insects are more attracted to UV lights, RGB Led lights are suitable
to replace UV lights to use in the insects’ trap. However, the trap may not be efficient
as the light has been replaced.

5.2.2 Solution for problem 2

The bug trap will be less expensive than others since our improvements to the
company's present product will use Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) Polyetherimide, a
low-cost, high-quality polymer.

16
6.0 CONCLUSION

To summarise, the SWOT and CTC analyses assisted the organisation in identifying its
product shortcomings and limitations. The restriction was transformed into a fly trap that
resembles a lamp that emits red or RGB LED lights, as well as a scent and a wall-mountable
light product. Consumers will be pleased by the product's inventiveness, which is supported
with a reasonable price and great quality. It also offers multi-functionality to customers while
taking up less space. It also has a wonderful perfume that both attracts insects and makes the
place smell nice.

17
7.0 RECOMMENDATIONS AND IMPROVEMENT

There are a few alternatives we can do to upgrade the existing products into a very
friendly and safe products. One of the solutions are the RGB LED lights were chosen as a
replacement for the UV lights. This is because RGB LED lights are more environmentally
friendly and are less likely to hurt human skin. The RGB LED lights may produce the same
amount of light as the UV lights. Furthermore, because RGB LED lights can provide a
variety of colours, they make the surroundings more attractive when installed. The company
also need to upgrade the trap so that it will be less expensive. We can use Polyphenylene
Sulfide (PPS) Polyetherimide, it is because PPS is rigid, and opaque polymer. It also easily
processed as well as its toughness increases at high temperatures.
