Awareness Programme

In this year, AIPSS had organized different programmes to counsel and aware the
Govt. Scheme regarding the SC/ST/OBC, Minorities, Tribal and Disabled importance of care our
aged people. Even if our Government is implementing different welfare schemes for Scheduled
Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBC, Minorities, Tribal, Disabled and rural people, this situation is
continuing to be pathetic. Our organization also focuses on schemes of there minorities and rural
people for this social and economic development.

The organization is pledged to bring the vulnerable sections of the society to the main stream
of life. AIPSS is committed to the empowerment of weaker sections especially tribal women and
tribal children in Jharkhand, Utranchal and Rajasthan. The total tribal population of India is about
67.8 million, which contribute 8% of the total population of the country. The tribal students who are
in turn to come to the main stream of development, make hope in the overall modernization of tribes.
Can add name of tribal in which the project intervened.

As tribal people live in forests, they tend to get cut off from the main stream. In spite of the
tribal habitat regions being generally rich in natural and mineral resources, the benefit of their
exploitation seldom accrues to the tribal. The organization has conducted different welfare
programs and awareness programs for tribal. Scheduled tribe girls and boys of different academic
levels constituted the target group of the participatory workshops. Teachers were the facilitators in
all the technical sessions as well as the plenary sessions in order to act as the local interface between
the student participants and the various subject matter specialists in the field of law, health and
education.
OLD AGE RECREATION CENTER

The proportion of elderly population and the percentage that need care, increase with time. In
India as elsewhere ageing has become a social problem because of the fundamental changes taking
place in its social structure from a traditional and pre-industrial social order. The Indian society is
changing into a modern and industrial one. The senior citizens’ social position in terms of family
status and community context is in a state of flux, especially in changing traditional societies and
regions where the influence of globalization and urbanization are accepted.

Nowadays, every society tends to view its retired and ageing population within the structural
and functional constructs, which operates for perpetuation and efficient conduct of that society.
Welfare for the aged is one of the target areas of our organization. As part of various programs
conducting for the welfare of our senior citizens, an Old Age Recreation Center is being run by our
organization which aims to provide for all recreational facilities for the aged at a common place and
provide for all kinds of support for their psycho-social make-up and development. The center
provides additional support to the aged to have better physical and mental health by availing medical
services periodically and provides options to older people who are socially isolated. The center
creates a suitable climate for greater understanding and better social integration between the senior
citizens from different family atmosphere. In short, the Old Age Recreation Center helps seniors
become more independent, socially and economically adjustable with their family members and to
have better integration between the older and younger generations.

OLD AGE DAY CELEBRATION

Every year, the organization celebrates Old Age Day with its volunteers and beneficiaries.
We organize Old Age Day rally, cultural programs, public meeting etc. which aim to spread message
to the public, on the importance of caring our aged people.

DIFFICULTIES FACED

The most significant difficulty, which we had faced through out the year and still facing by
us, is pertaining to funding or financial support. We have had a perpetual crunch of money to
support our various programs. This is precisely the reason why we were hardly able to launch any
