Trapezoid

- A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with one pair of opposite sides parallel. It can

have right angles (a right trapezoid), and it can have congruent sides (isosceles),
but those are not required.

What is a trapezoid shape in real life?

- Shovel. The blade of the shovel forms the shape of a quadrilateral that has a
pair of parallel lines and a pair of non-parallel lines. Hence, it is a clear example
of trapezoid-shaped objects in real life.

What are the 3 types of trapezoid?

There are three main types of trapezoids:

● Right trapezoid - these trapezoids have a pair of right angles.

● Isosceles trapezoid - trapezoids in which the non-parallel sides have the same
length.
● Scalene trapezoid - this type of trapezoid has four sides that are all of an unequal
length.
