Process Engineer - Textiles

EMPLOYER: Inversion Management Services Private Limited


NATURE: Full Time
ASSOCIATION TYPE: Independent Consultant
REPORTING TO: Director
DESIRED AGE GROUP: 27 – 35 years
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years
DESIRED QUALIFICATION: B. Tech. (Textile Engineering)
JOB LOCATION: Client Premises

I. Introduction
Successful candidate (“SC”) shall serve as Process Engineer - Textiles on behalf of
Inversion Management Services Private Limited (“Inversion”). Inversion proposes to
depute SC as a representative of Inversion, either based at Inversion Office or based
out of Client premises. The immediate role will be for a Client which is a fast-
growing textile company. The tenure of this role will be co-terminus with Inversion’s
contract with the Client.

II. Responsibilities
 Observe, understand and map the current manufacturing process and identify
current performance parameters at key steps
 Diagnose gaps and provide gap analysis with a root cause analysis
 Provide best in class remedial measures for the gaps identified in the production
process. These could include a variety of initiatives, including but not limited to,
capex, manning and skilling, process changes, improvement in measuring
methodology etc.
 Oversee and ensure implementation of suggestions agreed
 Develop written procedures (with respect to textiles) in the form of Standard
Practice Instructions to specifically describe how to perform a required task and
steps/ tools necessary to complete that task
 Establish approval systems as a means of controlling process conditions, fabric
routings, standard practices, and documentation of completed work assignments
 Develop and maintain process control and product testing procedures for work-
in-process to eliminate any off-quality performance
 Help conduct plant evaluations of new equipment to determine performance
levels in the areas of quality, safety, maintenance and cost

III. Profile Requisites


 B.Tech. with minimum 5 years of relevant post qualification experience
 In depth knowledge of textiles, textile engineering, and various manufacturing
processes as they are used in the textile industry. Examples include extrusion,
weaving, dyeing, printing, finishing and cutting
 Good analytical and problem solving skills including statistical analysis
 Must be organized, methodical, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and
work to an established timeline

 Must have good problem-solving capabilities with strong planning and
organizing skills
