Logic Circuits Mid‐Term Exam 

1. Define  and  give  an  example  for  the  following  terms  in  logic  circuits
context: Hamming distance, one’s (ones) complement, twos complement.
2. a) f(A,B,C,D)=(0,2,5,7,8,10,13,15) Simplify on a 4 by 4 Karnaugh Map on which AB are 
the columns and CD are the rows.  
b)Write the simplified function in Full‐Nand form.
c) f(A,B,C,D)=(1,3,4,6,9,11,12,14) Simplify on a 4 by 4 Karnaugh Map on which CD are
the columns and AB are the rows.
d) Write the simplified function in Full‐Nor form.
3. Consider/Explain the two bit(s) comparator circuit in the following form.
a)Write its truth table and show all the outputs on one table. Write for the row EQ ,GT,LT
b) Simplify and Draw its circuit only for the less than output.
c) Write the comparasion condition(s) in oral form such as:
Example: If ______ and _____ then the ______ condition is met/fulfilled.
