son of Mr. Liladhar kalauni and Mrs. Ishwari kalauni. He has completed his schooling from Kanchan
Vidya Mandir, Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur and +2 from White house interna onal higher secondary
school, Khumaltar, Lalitpur. He is currently pursuing his undergraduate study in Agriculture science
from Agriculture and Forestry University, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. He frequently writes for na onal
daily newspaper and interna onal magazines. At present he is working as the Na onal Director of

Ms. Ara Joshi, born on 16th of January, 1997 at Mahendranagar -2, Kanchanpur as an eldest
daughter of Mr. Mahesh Raj Joshi and Mrs. Ishwari Joshi. She has completed her school educa on
from Shree Mahendranagar Higher Secondary School, Katan-18, Kanchanpur and higher secondary
educa on from Radiant Higher Secondary School, Katan-18, Kanchanpur. She is currently enrolled
at Agriculture and Forestry University, Rampur, Chitwan. Joshi has been awarded for being one of
the top ten student in SLC board examina on by Government of Nepal (GoN), Ministry of Educa on,
and is also awarded by many other scholarship for pursuing her intermediate and undergraduate
study. Her ar cles have also been published in Na onal Daily newspaper and interna onal news Based on Syllabus of AFU, TU, P.U. & CTEVT
portals. She is also engaged in Interna onal Associa on of Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS).

ORNAMENTAL HORTICULTURE
Dr. Umed Pun is an ornamental hor culturist. He did his basic educa on from Nagaland (India), BSc
(Ag) gold medal from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong (India), MSc (Ag) Hor culture from Orissa
University of Agriculture and Technology, Orissa (India) and PhD in plant physiology from Lincoln
University (New Zealand). He is associated with commercial agriculture, teaching and research of

flowers and ornamentals. He has published more than three dozen peer reviewed journal papers
both na onal and interna onal, more than two dozen popular ar cles, about two dozen papers in
conference proceedings, five books/chapters and edited about fi een books/journals/proceedings.

HORTICULTURE
Mr. Shyam Sundar Pant was born in Dhading, Gajuri-8, Nepal. He has a long teaching experience
and has served as Hor culture Professor. He has also worked as campus chief of IAAS, Rampur
campus, T.U. He has published many research papers in na onal and interna onal journals.

Mr. Madhav Dhital, born on 21st January 1982 at Shukranagar -3, Chitwan as the youngest son of
Mr. Hom Nath Dhital and Mrs. Jamuna Dhital. He has completed his school educa on from Shree For Students of Diploma, Graduate and Post Graduate
Prabhat Higher Secondary School, Shukranagar-3, Chitwan in 1999, I. Sc. Ag from TU, Lamjung
Campus, Sundar Bazaar, Lamjung in 2002 and B.Sc. Ag. at TU/IAAS, Rampur, Chitwan with major
in Hor culture in 2006 and M.Sc. Ag. (Hor culture) from IAAS in 2009. Mr. Dhital has been working
at Agriculture and Forestry University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Hor culture as an
Assistant Professor since July 2013. At present, he is the Campus Chief of CNRM, Sindhuli. He has
five publica ons including a book.

Mr. Bishal Sherestha was born on 26th January 1990 in Bharatpur, Chitwan. He obtained his B.sc
Ag and M.sc Ag (Hor culture) from IAAS, Rampur and passed with Dis nc on Division. He has been
employed as Assistant Professor in Agriculture and Forestry University since 2014 and at present he
is a chairperson of Hor culture Department of AFU. He is ac vely involved in research ac vi es and
