COWBELL/BELLS
The cowbell is made of metal and played with a drumstick. It is held in the
palm of one hand with the index finger at the back. When this finger is
touching the cowbell, the sound is dampened.
DJEMBE/BONGO
The bongo drums consist of a pair of small open bottomed hand drums of different sizes.
They are struck with both hands, most commonly in an eight-stroke pattern called martillo.
The djembe is a rope-tuned skin-covered goblet drum played with bare hands, originally from
West Africa.
