Men & Directions!

It's a familiar scenario. A man is driving his family on vacation; let's say they're going from their house to Mahabalipuram (A Beach resort in Chennai). His wife gently points out to him that she just saw a sign saying, "Welcome to Red Hills"(A road running almost in the opposite direction to Mahabalipuram). The wife realizing that the destination is definitely not anywhere near Mahabalipuram, Repeatedly, the Mrs. suggests the Mr. stop and ask for directions. Then she says "I think we're lost." But will the Mr. stop and ask for directions? No! Maybe it's something in the male chromosome like most men, he's too proud to admit he's lost. And he's probably not going to end up where he hoped. But still wants to drive on to prove his point. Many times, when it comes to our eternal destination, I think most of us hope to end up in heaven. We drive on and on just to prove our own point that we will be able to take it in our own hands and accomplish what we want to do. But do you know what will keep a lot of people from ending up where they hope to? Pride. The kind that is just too proud to admit that they are lost...that you can't get there on your own. Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. Pride does not allow us to accept that we are in the wrong side. It leads us to a fall. So let us turn from the direction that we are going and humble ourselves. Let us allow God to show us the way that we need to go and let us move in towards heavenly direction. Let us ask God's forgiveness and get back to the right direction. God bless you.

God's Protection

Psalm 125:2 "As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore. The Protective hand of the Father surrounds His children at all times, as a fortress He reigns

around His chosen ones and every added moment, every added breath is a praise song to the Creator of the Heavens. Last year when my husband was driving after a tiresome day, we met with a major accident and the car toppled and bounced back, but no harm came to either of us or the children. Those that witnessed it testified of this being nothing short of a miracle and we were completely gripped with His goodness, mercy, His grace! When Christ becomes our ALL, He surrounds us with His Presence that defies all other forces and pierces past every hindrance and affirms and reaffirms to us that HE surrounds us with HIMSELF, not just for now but way through the end of times. His Presence goes before us not because of who we are, but because of who weve allowed HIM to be in our lives, because of what weve declared Him as our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST! Hallelujah! Oh dearly beloved Children of God, I couldnt say it in more earnest ways, the Cloud of the Master, the Glory of the King will surround You past all the weapons of hell that are formed against You, past all the lies of the enemy, past all that comes to steal, kill and destroy, past it all He reigns supreme, He reigns over His chosen vessels and when this truth seeps into us in great depth there is no shaking, there is no fear so harsh, no accidents so threatening, as youll know in your knower that as the mountains surround Jerusalem, SO the LORD surrounds HIS people! Amen & Amen! God bless you.

Failing to obey our parents

In times when we find parents and children do not look eye to eye. When children live according to their own whims and fancies not giving attention, leave alone obeying what their parents say. What does the Word of God tell us in this regard? It tells children to honor and obey their parents. God's plan of obedience begins with obedience at home. Ephesians 6:1 says, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right'. Further Colossians 3:20 states, Children, obey your parents in everything for this pleases the Lord'. Both these verses give a clear picture that obeying our parents is right in the eyes of God and that it pleases him. Often do we have the talk of having outdated thinking and a varied understanding of things by our parents, courtesy what many state as the generation gap. Well what our parents say is out of their vast years of experience and for our good alone. That just can't be done away with. If not we do what is wrong in the sight of God and what displeases him. Honor your father and mother- which is your first commandment Ephesians 6:2. How

could one ever even imagine to build up on a whole set of principles after faltering on the very first one? There might be for some a question regarding unsaved parents. Do we honor and obey them too? To honor and to obey are two different things. One cannot do away with honoring parents, but when it comes to the question of obeying what is wrong according to the Word of God, the response could be to steer of it and make it clear that the stand taken was in favor of the belief in and the understanding of the Scripture. Following this command is followed by a promise. Being obedient to parents brings with it the blessing of long life (Exodus 20:12; Ephesians 6:3). Doesn't it sound great to have God-given promise that assures of long life when the whole world is looking for it in all the wrong places!

Our Future is guaranteed

2 Corinthians 1: 21-22 Now it is God who makes both of us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us and out his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Who is a guarantor? A dictionary meaning of Guarantor is One, such as a person or corporation, that makes or gives a promise, assurance, or pledge typically relating to quality, durability, or performance . In simple words a guarantor is someone of global authority who adds his own qualifications to you when you fall short of some in any area. The scripture above clearly states that God makes us stand firm by depositing into us a Guarantor, who is none other than the Holy Spirit himself, who is an authority above all authorities, a source of endless provision, a source of divine wisdom and counsel, a source of infinite grace, completely dependable and never gives up on us. WHAT A PROMISE? If we would just realize this, we will have no doubts that our future is well guaranteed and safe in the hands of our Guarantor Our Lord Jesus. Prayer: Almighty Father, I realize how much you love and care for me. Thank you for the promise of the security and success of my future that I find in you. Thank you that you have already deposited the guarantor in advance to take care of the needs of the future as it comes. Please help me to stop being anxious about my future and lean onto this understanding. I praise and

glorify your name for your ways O lord. In Jesus Name. Amen

Time with God

Psalm 27:4,5-One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling;he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Often a heightened spiritual experience or encounter with God leads to taking decisions of spending more time with God. As the days go by the enthusiasm and commitment seem to wane out. The simple reason for this is that such experiences are not an everyday affair and as one faces tough and troubled times it often begins with trying out to find a solution all alone. The Psalmist says in Psalm 27:4 that the only one thing that he desires is to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of his life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to enquire in his temple. This talks of a daily walk with God which is to last for a lifetime. From the beginning of time God has been trying to establish a relationship with man. The Creator wants the creation to spend time with him. After the fall of man in the Garden of Eden there have been repeated attempts through the Prophets send by God to restore that lost relationship but Israel often faltered. God send his only son Jesus to die for the sins of mankind so that the relationship is restored, because without holiness no one can see God. The death and resurrection of Jesus has given us an easy access to God. Are we committed and ready to spend time with God to praise and worship him, to hear from Him, to accept his counsel in times of crisis, to stay on track and not to be carried away? Verse 5 of Psalm 27 tells of what happens when one spends time with God for in the day of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion in the secret oh his tabernacle shall he hide me: he shall set me up upon a rock. Isnt that great that as we spend time with God, he takes care of us in our times of trouble, of sorrow, anxiety and of pain! There is nothing more important in this world than to spend time with our Creator well he is waiting for us to get hooked to him.
