organizations and communities they serve. Taking into consideration your background, how
do you intend to make a meaningful impact on an elite MBA community?
I hail from the historical state of Bihar in India, where the culture dictates that community is
family. Hence moral values, community sentiment, and a need to be a positive contributor to
society have been taught to me since my formative years. As an undergrad, I interned at
diverse organizations such as the International labor organization and Indian Political Action
Committee. This experience gave me an understanding of the social and cultural inequalities
existing at the lowest strata of Indian society. To impact the rural population, I started the
Green Gate Foundation to assist underprivileged children in accessing primary education by
helping them with the necessary funds, career guidance, and mentorship.
I have also worked to strengthen the relationships between BITS Pilani, my Alma mater, and
my workplace through industry-specific lectures and workplace tours which has led to
increased hiring from the school. As an employee, my actions uphold the good name of BITS
Pilani alumni.
During my MBA at Cornell, I intend to bring my insights and technical know-how of the
North American and European Structured securities markets and contribute actively to the
class discussions. In addition, I believe my work as a Data scientist has given me a deep
understanding of the techniques and algorithms used in the financial markets and a good
hands-on experience working with the latest technologies in big data and data-driven
products which will help me contribute to projects and discussions focused on use of
technology to solve business problems.
Post my MBA at Cornell, wherever I am, I will strive to positively impact my environment as
is ingrained in my DNA, thereby increasing the brand equity of Cornell.
