Guidelines for Writing Thesis

General guidelines

1. Thesis should be typed in American English

2. Times new roman font should be used.
3. Line spacing should be 1.5 inch
4. Text should be in 12 font size and sentence case.
5. Chapter headings should be in bold, uppercase, font size16 and centrally aligned.
6. First level heading should be in bold, sentence case, font size 14 and centrally aligned
7. Margin left 1.5 inch and remaining sides 0.5 inch.
8. Pages covered before chapter one to be numbered using lower case roman numbers (eg: i,
ii, iii)
9. The following should be printed in single page (middle page) with page border as well
for separating out from content.(font size 36,italics,bold,black print and centrally
aligned).

11. Table number and title should be above the table.
12. Permission letter with signature should be scanned and attached along with appendices.
13. Research design (figure), Conceptual framework (figure), Title page and Certificate
should in color print.
14. Master data sheet need to be enclosed in the appendices.
15. Three hard copies of thesis and one soft copy to be submitted to the college.
16. Power points slides, Teaching programme content, Leaflet, Booklet etc should be
attached along with appendices.
17. Formatting and editing should be done before spiral submission of thesis.
18. Spirals can be given for submission no binding required
19. Statement of problem should be in Upper case, Bold, Centrally Aligned, Font size 16,
along with university and college logo
