Should schools enforce student uniforms?

School uniforms are being used all over the schools. Some schools might don’t
and dislike the idea but most of the students use it. For me, I think Schools
shouldn’t enforce student uniforms. There are several reasons that I don’t and I
would to tell and discuss about that.
First, take a look at this sentence. “If we wear school uniforms, we can
recognize the students which school they are from.” But will you though?? Take a
look at schools in Yangon, there are more than 60 private schools. How can we
able to remember each one of them?? I don’t think we can to be honest.
For the second thought, I don’t think students should have to wear a uniform.
If students are wearing the exact same thing, they can’t express themselves.
students should feel like they can be their own person. They shouldn’t have to
match. During school hours, we should also be comfortable. If we’re in scratchy
shirts and uncomfortable dress pants, we’re not going to focus very well. I get
that the teachers don’t want us focusing on everyone else’s clothing, but it’s still
uncomfortable to be in a uniform all day. Also, parents have to go shopping and
spend a lot of money on the uniforms. If students could wear normal clothes,
we’d be able to express ourselves, be comfortable, and not spend money on
outfits that we never wear at home.
Third “School uniforms can help you when you are in danger.” Hmm…. I
don’t think it will help though… It has no connection with the uniforms that
students wear and don’t think it will be. For example, when bullies from the other
schools bully you, I don’t think you can protect yourself just by wearing the
uniform. But I do agree that adults would respect you as a good clever student
that’s my guess. And many people think that school uniforms can save money.
That’s true and correct but I can’t think of the parents who can afford the
expensive education fees but not the uniforms. I highly reject that idea.
For conclusion, there might be lots of people who dislike and like my ideas.
And reminder that people have different opinions. For me, I still think we should
wear our own type of uniforms that are appropriate and good for the school
manner. Hopes the students can be live freestyle and enjoy their school lives.
