Dear Parents,

Greetings! Hope you all are keeping well and staying safe.

Robotics is an interdisciplinary field that involves the design, construction,

operation, and use of technology. It is very vital for enhancing a student's
creativity, critical thinking, decision making, and cognitive abilities.

Samaj School has always believed in inculcating holistic education to equip

our students to be future-ready. Because of this, we have incorporated Robotics
Program for the welfare of our students from September 2020. As you might be
aware, we are now about to come to the end of the 2nd Phase of the program.

We are truly appreciative of your cooperation and involvement. We wouldn't

have come thus far without your support.

It gives us immense pleasure to announce that we are introducing a

Technology competition- Budding Technologist 2021. The same is a
platform for the students to showcase their talents and what they have learned
until now.

All the students are allowed to participate in this competition. Based on their
performance, we shall be shortlisting the best projects.

The program will be conducted in 5 Different stages and the schedule for the
program is provided below.

Q1) What can I do as a project?
Ans) The project should be a mini project which can be finished within 10 hours. The project can be a
socially relevant project or a pet project. Example "
Solar sails" in space science & technology, Band lab working with different instruments and songs
(piano & a song you want to create), or a website that you want to create for a cause/individual

Q2) How should I select a project?

Ans) Steps to select a project:
l Find the topic that interests you and is a problem you wish to solve
l Find the availability of the materials.
l Estimate a time you will need to finish the project.

Q3) What is the timeline of the project?

Ans) Check the timetable in the above table

Q4) When will I get the certificate?

Ans) Students who complete the project will get a performance-based certificate at the end of the
session

Q5) From which domain will can we select the projects?

Q6) If I am having any trouble with my project, how will I contact my mentors?
Ans) Do not worry. The HowNWhy mentors are available as per schedule to meet and help you. In
case you need more time, the contact details of all the respective mentors who are handling the classes
shall be given to the students. One can fix a time and date with the respective mentor to have a meeting
and solve the problem.

Q7) What should I be prepared with when I am attending the co-ideation class?
Ans) You should be prepared with the title of the project (Should be something that you relate to and is
a solution that you are excited about implementing) and details on how you wish to implement the
project. Remember, the mentor will want to know why you have chosen this project title!

Q8) What will happen after co-ideation?

Ans) After the co-ideation phase all the approved projects will enter the second phase where the
projects will be executed.
