The USU student activity center building that will be designed applies
the theme of geometry and basic shapes, where the shape of the USU
student activity center building is A circular shape that has been
modified with additive and subtractive processes, the USU student
activity center has 4 floors, the first floor is A public areas, the second
floor is the seminar and class area, the third floor is the classroom
area and the fourth floor is the library.

The mixed use building that will be designed carries the theme of modern architecture with the function of the
building as a mall and apartment, this building uses a lot of steel and glass materials on the facade of the building,
this mix use building has 2 basement floors and 10 building floors, consisting of 3 podium floors which functions as a
mall and a 7-floor tower that functions as an apartment. SITE ANALYSIS

The location of the building at the location of JL MT Haryono allows the building to respond to the state of the surrounding buildings, the buildings that were around most of the colonial
buildings in the Dutch era, this caused the building to have to respond to how the facade of the building that would be designed was in order to keep adapting to the conditions of the
surrounding building. The selection of the theme of modern architecture is the right theme in the design of malls and apartments, but because the site is located in a location with colonial-style
surrounding buildings, the facade of the building will still follow how the surrounding buildings area, the selection of textures and materials is very influential in designing this building so that it
continues to carry a modern theme but does not eliminate the colonial image of this site area.
We can find buildings that apply this colonial style within a 500m radius from the location of this building
site, such as Ria Restaurant, Bank Indonesia, Grand Aston, Medan Train Station, etc. the buildings at this
location have existed for a long time and until now still maintain the originality of the characteristics of their
respective buildings and still maintain the aesthetic value of the area.

The selection of materials and colors follows the condition of the

surrounding buildings by applying the majority brown color and a
little white color and the use of steel and glass materials in the
building, making this building look luxurious and able to compete
with the surrounding commercial buildings
 D.ORIGIN STYLE
HEALING GARDEN
Healing garden is A public park located in D.Origin style where this garden aims as A place to relax
for visitors, in this area visitors can do various activities such as playing tiktok, telling stories,
relaxing, etc. This garden also has quite complete facilities, where a playground is provided for
children, benches and tables, fountain views, and other facilities.
The concept of making a healing garden is based on the need for green space which is currently less
and less in the city, especially on jl mt haryono itself, it is hoped that this healing garden can help
eliminate the fatigue that people who live in the city due to vehicle noise and air pollution.

D.Origin Style is a building with the function of malls and apartments where in this part of the building mall
sells goods and products that come from abroad, although most pruduk comes from abroad, local product
products can still be found in this D.Origin Style building.
The apartment in this building is divided into 3 types, where 2 types of rooms with 2 beds and 1 type of room
with 1 bed. In the apartment section there is also a garden area per floor that can be used by apartment owners
on each floor of each of them, this garden area is made for apartment owners to relax and get the sensation of
fresh air even though they are in a vertical residential housing.

SKY GARDEN & FOODCOURT

Sky garden and foodcourt is located on the podium roof floor where this area can only be enjoyed by
apartment users, the sky garden and foodcourt area itself has a variety of facilities that can be enjoyed by
apartment users, one of which is garden and toilet facilities.
In this area there is also a foodcourt that can accommodate approximately 100 people with a view that
faces directly to the urban area and the view leads directly to the healing garden.
