Importance of SAP PM Module

Importance of Pm module means one of the concept is MTTR.

To keep the equipment in running condition & avoid the break
downs and we will increase revenue for Organization MTTR,
MTBF,MDT (Mean down time) these technologies we need use
in SAP PM.

HOW TO REDUCE Repair cost & maintenance cost and HOW to

improve the Production

MTTR: (Mean time to repair) It is nothing but one repair will be

taking place this time and another repair taking place this time
during one month these many repairs are occur because of
these repairs we are not able to produce any goods and
production.

EX:
03/07/21 BKD 1 16HRS
10/07/21 BKD 2 20 HRS
20/07/21 BKD 3 25 HRS
28/07/21 BKD 4 30 HRS
Average (mean time)= Total Hours/ No. of. Bkd occurs
=91/4=22.75 HRS

If you can able to reduce that mean time to 1 hour (or) 2 hours.
By using SAP PM module can able to reduce that Mean time to
1 hour.

HOW TO REDUCE MTTR time

(1) All the experts information should keep with equipment
master like person name, address, phone number.
(2) All spare parts details should keep with equipment
master data.
(3) All design diagrams to keep with equipment master
(4) All vendor list to keep with equipment master.

Mean time between Failure (MTBF)

Mean time between failure increase to an maximum extend is
better.
Ex: 03.07.21-----BKD1
15.07.21 ---BKD2
22.07.21- BKD3
30.07.21 ---BKD4
Average(mean time)= No.of days in July month/No.of bkds
=30/4=7.5
