of writers and artists to provide free devotionals for Filipinos. This desire started when I joined Her Binder Project in Valkyrie Arcee Cabalo

A season of preparation

Daily Verse: 1 Timothy 4:8;12

Daily Devo: You live everyday hoping for the greater

things to come. Either you already have tasted a hint of
the glory of those great things, or you live everyday in a
constant battle of patience and waiting, sometimes,
you’re still not so sure if those will come. Worse, you’re
not sure if you’re really doing the right thing to achieve
it. Financial breakthrough, God’s best or contentment in
singlehood, reconciliation, promotion, higher grades –
will God grant them? But before you ask that, here’s the
prerequisite: Are you even prepared for them?

Here are some Biblical guidelines to help you prepare

for the future:

1. Walk in holiness. Purity does not merely refer to your

sexuality. It is about how your mind and heart are
focused in loving and obeying the Lord. It refers to
constantly seeking God in whatever situation you are in.
With your heart being in line with Him, discernment will
come to guide you with your decisions.

2. Walk in faith. Trust God with what you are praying

for. Whether He closes some doors, He will direct you to
where you are called to be. Being in faith is resting in His
ways because on your own, you will always stumble and
remain defeated, but with Him, you can always get back
up.

3. Walk in love. This is really important because in

everything that you do, when done with love, is pure
and holy, and glorifying to the Lord. It compels you to
stay away from temptations, procrastinations, and
settling with what’s less. It produces passion and
compassion. Consequently, this results you to being
intentional in helping people, and relating to them with
gentleness, kindness, and patience.

Daily Verse: Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11
Daily Devo: Everyone go through different seasons —
and one of them is the season of preparation. Which
you often see as a battleground, wherein you are ought
to sacrifice, to surrender, to fight and to train yourself.
The season of preparation is often the most painful
season because this is where God prunes you,
disciplines you, and teaches you how to champion the
next and challenging battles ahead. But what makes this
season beautiful is you are rest assured that beautiful
result awaits you. For God said in His word, that He has
made everything beautiful in His own time (v. 11).
Whatever it is that you offer to God in this season, those
Isaacs, those training wounds, the pain will eventually
lead you to a place that you’ve never been before. That
pain, it will give birth to a new and fresh anointing.
So wherever it is that God brings you; be it season of joy,
season of drought, season of silence. Remember, that in
every season, God prepares you for a greater one.

Daily Devo: Handa ka na ba? Prepared ka na ba? Excited
ka na ba para sa pagbabalik ni Jesus? Kung oo, gaano ka
ka ready, kapatid? Super ready? Super duper ready?
Yung tipo bang kaya mong sabihin na, "Kahit ngayon pa
yan ay ready na ako!" Aba, kung ganito rin lang naman
ang sagot mo ay masayang masaya ako para sa iyo!
Pero paano naman sa iba na ang sagot ay, "Hindi ko
alam", "Ewan ko", "Siguro", "Matagal pa naman yun eh"
Naku! Hindi pwedeng ganyan, kapatid. Dahil darating
ang Diyos sa araw na hindi mo inaasahan. Paano kung
ngayon? Paano kung bukas? Paano kung ngayong
month? Paano kung hindi ka pa handa? Alam mo ba
kung saan ka pupunta? Wala na akong ibang naiisip
kundi sa nag aalab na apoy at walang katapusang
pagtangis (see Matthew 13:50). Hindi naman nag kulang
sa pag pagpapaalala sayo eh, dahil matagal na itong
ipinaalala. Ilang ulit na, pero hanggang ngayon ay
ganoon ka pa rin. Ikaw mismo sa sarili mo ay walang
kasiguraduhan.
You need to be prepared kapatid, hangga’t wala pa ang
araw na iyon pwede ka pang mag prepare. Everyday is a
season of preparation. Don't lose hope. Hindi pa naman
huli. Ang daming preparation sa buhay kapatid,
preparation sa future, sa school, sa work, sa loved ones,
at kung anu ano pa. Hindi mo ito madadala lahat sa
iyong kamatayan. Pero sa lahat ng plano at paghahanda
mo sa buhay, ang pagiging handa para sa pag babalik ng
Hari ang dapat na mauna sa lahat.
Ngayon, handa ka na ba kapatid? Kung hindi pa rin ay
simulan mo nang tanggapin si Jesus bilang tagapagligtas
mo.

Daily Devo: Adulting is hard. Ito yung panahon na mas
madami ka ng moments na gusto mo ng sumuko, kasi
pagod ka na — sa trabaho, sa gastos, sa mga pangarap
na hindi pa naaabot, sa takot na baka hindi ka na
makapag-asawa at sa marami pang pressure na nasa
paligid mo ngayon.
If you are in this season right now kapatid, let me tell
you this: Mapalad ka dahil nire-ready ka ni Lord!

Daily Verse: Romans 12:14

Daily Devo: Oftentimes, you might want to give back people a little piece of what
they deserved for all the evil things they have done to you. You might have even
cursed them at the back of your mind or gossipped about your friends and talked
bad against them as if they’re really not good human beings. You’ve mentioned
such nasty things just to get your friend’s sympathy. But love, God doesn’t want
you to do those things anymore. He wants you to completely share your love to
those who need it the most even to the ones who might have hurt you in the past.

A season of newness should be seen through your words and actions. You need to
make an effort to do them both. Walk your talk because just merely saying it
won’t matter, unless you apply it in your daily living. You will be a blessing toward
others if you let God lead you completely. You just need to make sure that your
heart beats the same as Him.

When you think about doing what God wants you to do it seems really difficult.
But once you get the hang of it, by not letting temptations get through you but by
letting the love of God shine, you will overcome everything, even the people who
constantly judge you. Pray for them my dear because one day, you will reap what
God has promised you.

Daily Verse: Lamentations 3:22-23
Daily Devo: We all have a dark past. A past that you
don’t want to remember but when you do, you tell
yourself: “It’s shameful”, “I can’t believe I did something
horrible like that”, “I can’t believe that was me”, “I can’t
believe I said those words to that person”, “I can’t
believe I was so rude back then” so on and so forth. We
all did something bad back then, but those will never
use by God to make us looked down ourselves. People
will call you by your sins even though they know you by
your name but God will call you by your name even
though he knows every sin you did. With all your million
mistakes God will still choose to love you, simply
because you are His child.
God’s mercies are new every morning, beloved. Quit
saying that God is so tired of your repeated mistakes,
quit saying that God will never accept you anymore, quit
saying that God will surely condemn you because of how
sinful you are, quit saying that God will never forgive
you because you did something that is unforgivable, quit
saying that God won’t hear your prayers anymore just
because you keep on doing that secret sin of yours. Quit
boxing God’s mercy beloved. Quit thinking of
boundaries because you are talking about your God
here. A God who is mighty and powerful, a God who
loves you unconditionally, a God who will never change.
Every day is a chance for you. Every day is a season of
newness for you, a new day, a new you, new chances,
new challenges, new trials and of course new
temptation coming from the devil, so beware of this.
Beloved, God’s mercy has no expiration. But your time
here on earth is limited. Do something every day that
will always lead you closer to God.

Daily Verse: Isaiah 43:18-19
Daily Devo: Everyday, God offers us a fresh beginning, a
beginning that is not like any other. Yet a lot of times
you bargain those opportunities with the thoughts of
the past, which obviously cannot be brought back. The
consequence of this is that you might not be able to get
the best of what God has prepared for you today.
Regrets from yesterday’s decisions might give you
anxiety. Your success before could trap you today into a
wishful thinking mindset. And most of all, the pains of
the past can keep you away from believing again, even
for the good things. You lose hope.
In Isaiah 43:18, God reminds us to let go of the past.
Everything that has happened before has served its
purpose, that is, to bring you to where you are today
and give you the lessons you could use. The verse says
that we should not waste our time pondering upon
successes and failures. Thinking about those things again
and again could only bind you by the euphoria and
regrets, and make you settle of what’s in front of you
today.
The next verse states a beautiful promise from the Lord.
It says that He will do a new thing – something that has
not yet been done before. As your good Father,
whatever He does for you is for your own good and for
His glory. He will replace yesterday’s pain and regret
with healing and opportunities. He will overwrite those
success with grander victories. If yesterday gave you
despair, today He offers hope. Dwell in the present,
because He is continually doing great things. Behold, He
will do a new thing today – something your mind cannot
fathom, something you cannot measure.

A season of newness
Wednesday, May 8
Daily Verse: John 15:1-7
Daily Devo: In what areas of your life do you sense that
God is doing new things? Do you desire for God to do
new things in your life? Behold! Because God is really
doing new things in all areas of your life. God's intention
for you is the renewal of all things. As God is your
gardener, He will do everything He must do in order for
you to grow. Your season of newness is the perfect
season to grow!
In order for you to grow, God sometimes remove the
things that hinder you to grow just like how a gardener
cuts off dead twigs and branches. You often misinterpret
how God really moves in your life because there are
things that God wants you to remove and leave behind
for you to experience new things. These things can be
your old habits, ways of thinking, preferences or even
relationships. It is very difficult to leave these kind of
things behind because these are the heavy and although
unnecessary baggages, you still chose to carry for a long
time. Because of these things, you are unable to
experience new things and new experiences that God
prepared for you. It might be painful but you need to
leave and remove things that really stops you from
growing. That's the reality of becoming new. God takes
away everything that burdens you. Your old burdens do
not weigh on you anymore. It is how God wants you to
be transformed.
Diamonds and gold are formed under pressure. Fruits
are pressed in order to produce juice. In order to make
wine, grapes must be crushed. Seeds we plant grow in
darkness. So, dear ones whenever you feel pressured,
pressed, crushed, or in darkness, you are in God's
powerful place of transformation and newness.

Daily Verse: Revelation 21:4-5
Daily Devo: The sun was shining brightly, and you feel
refreshed after a relaxing sleep. You feel excited for the
day, and wanted to see more of God’s wonders like you
always do. With plans ahead of the day, you wear a
smile on your face and an aura of confidence.
Then suddenly, at the start of the day, things didn't go
well. Emotions started to rise up. After that, followed by
failures in work or school and oh, a problem in the
family, also a sudden financial instability. The chain of
events caused you to ask in despair, “Is this the end of it
all?”
“I’m a failure. I have no future and hope.”, you tell these
words to yourself while tears are dropping from your
eyes, mind in pitch black, and your whole body is
trembling in fear. That’s us. No exceptions. We all face
this trouble every day, with a no way out, putting us on
the edge of giving up.
But God came, and began telling you, as your eyes full of
tears, “Child, I will wipe every tear from your eyes” (see
Revelation 21:4) “You have a hope.” “You have a
future.” “And here I am, making everything new.” (see
Revelation 21:5)
In the middle of darkness and despair, He wants to be
your greatest source of comfort, hope, and light. No
matter what may come your way, He will always be the
strength of your life. Even if a hundred billion failures
may come to your life, He will make them all disappear.
Now, my friend. Stand, in awe to the One who gave it
all, even His own life, for your hope and future. Fight the
good fight of faith, even if everything falls apart. Give
your best because the One who fought for victory at the
cross 2000 years ago gave His best for you.

Daily Verse: Isaiah 43:18-21
Daily Devo: Have you ever visited malls today? Have you
seen items or products labeled as new? Or have you
seen buildings being built or renovated?
The process of becoming new is one of the most
expensive process an individual could ever have. This is
the stage where ground breaking of the inner soul
happens. There are walls which need to be broken
down. There are mess which has to be cleaned up.
There are ways that need to be straightened up. We
know it wasn't easy. I have been there. You have been
there too. There were pains, there were doubts and
there were point in our lives when we almost decide to
just stop and go back to the old self God has rescued us
from. The removal of unnecessary things, those chains
that had us captive for so many times.
God is plucking it up slowly. By all these you know He is
extending His grace saying, "Trust me in this my Child, I
am working from within not to hurt you but I am making
a new you for my glory." For which you know the end
product is to be the best version of yourself. It requires a
greater faith and trust to the One who holds, molds and
recreates your inner being.
This is a promise when God says let there be new in you.
It does not only mean you got a new pace to start but
also a new heart with an empowered soul destined for
greater things He has appointed you to do and that one
person is you! So learn in this season my dear, for in the
process of crushing, of pressing, of breaking there you
will find yourself turn into a new vessel to reach to
people who undergoes the same transformation as you.
And as you entrust your life to Him, His careful hands
will surely deliver you to newness.

Daily Verse: Isaiah 43:19
Daily Devo: You may have reached the point wherein
you just want to give up on life. Yung tipong konti na
lang, mababali ka na dahil pagod na pagod ka na.
Minsan, naiisip mo, “May point pa ba ‘tong ginagawa
ko?” at hindi mo na lang mapigilang umiyak. If you have
come into that season of life, and you have surrendered
yourself to Him – dear, you are in the right place. God’s
embrace is the best place to be whenever you feel tired
and drained.
As you cry out in His embrace, He is telling you as of this
moment, “Oo, may point pa lahat ng ginagawa mo. Pati
yung pag-iyak mo sa’kin ngayon. The tears you’re
shedding? I will use those to water the seeds I have
planted in you.”
Seeds of hope. Seeds of victory. Seeds of new
beginnings.
You may not understand right now, but one day you will.
As the seeds grow, you will witness how God will make a
way in situations you thought were impossible to
overcome, and how deserts will bloom in the light of His
love.
Take heart, beloved. A new season is coming. God will
not take you this far just to leave you hanging. The more
it gets painful, it only indicates one thing: You are
getting closer to your breakthrough. Hold on, dear one.
His faithfulness will carry you through. One day, you will
look back and say, “Lord, thank you. Kung hindi ko
pinagdaanan ‘yon, hindi ako makakarating dito.”
Be reminded that a new chapter filled with grace awaits
you; it will not go anywhere. All you need to do is to
trust the process and let the joy of the Lord be your
strength. Heads up, God is on the move to bring you to
the new season He has promised you!

A season of adjustment
Daily Verse: Daniel 2:21

Daily Devo: Have you ever met a fickle minded person? These people usually take
long hours to respond. They have to consider all people on their list, the
circumstances involved and eventually when everything is almost done they will
change their minds. Sounds familiar, huh? At this moment, maybe you're naming
persons in your head. That boss or manager who promised you of salary increase
this year changed his mind or maybe a person who is close to your heart promised
you a forever yet cheated on you or maybe a family member who promised you a
perfect life or to make it to the top 10 in the class (sorry, kahit good grades nalang
pala) disappointed you. But wait, this is not about them. (Whaaaat?) Yeah, the
person that I am talking about is you and your relationship with God.

Sometimes, you ask too much from God. Coz why not? He’s an all-powerful
all-knowing and all-present God who has everything you need, right? But you
usually ask for comfort and good things to happen. For example, makapagtapos
ng pag-aaral and get that dream job immediately. Or maybe makabili ng house
and lot or to invest and establish a business or makabuo ng isang masayang
pamilya. Pero paano kung lahat ng ito ay tinanggal sayo? Yung trabahong
pinaghirapan mo, yung house and lot na pinag-ipunan mo, yung business na
pinag-isipan mo at yung masayang pamilya na pinangarap mo ay inalis sayo. How
would you feel about it? How would you respond to these circumstances?

Usually when you encounter sudden changes or adjustments, nai-stress ka

kaagad. Puro negativity na ang naiisip mo. Kapatid, kung nandun ka ngayon sa isa

sitwasyon mo. Maniwala ka na malalagpasan mo ang season ng buhay mo na iyan.
At kapag nalagpasan mo iyan, sana huwag manatiling nakatikom ang iyong bibig
para magpasalamat at i-share sa iba ang katagumpayan na na-experience mo.

Daily Verse: John 8:12
Daily Devo: Somewhere along the line, darkness can
take its toll. It can steal the joy that is meant to be yours
and replace it with overwhelming fear which can make
you blind. And entering the fray of not having any sight
can cause panic. It makes you paranoid over almost
everything that you encounter. And so you search for
light in many places but ended up stumbling, bumping
into things you can't see — causing you to have bruises
and scratches of any kinds.
Then you settle; accepting the fact that you are
surrounded by darkness and you must learn to live with
it. You squirm to adjust on your uncomfortable seat. You
will allow yourself to swallow whatever is on your plate.
You learned the value of perseverance. "Maybe
darkness isn't that bad as long as you know how to cope
with it.", you said.
Love, there is nothing wrong with that mindset. It's good
that you get to learn such. But God doesn't want you to
settle with an "okay" life when He came to give you a
glorious one. He doesn't want you to settle at your dark
little nook while there's a welcoming light waiting for
you.
You are adjusting. But it shouldn't be in a settle-for-less
kind of adjustment. Rather, be open for countless of
breaking and rebuilding. For tons of twisting, turning,
and grinding. For you are being assembled to your
God-given destiny.
Don't adapt to your surroundings, rise above it. Face
God's light and all its glory; and see the darkness fall
behind you.

Daily Devo: “Congratulations! You finally finished your
studies!” “You’re getting married already!” “Wow! You
are now promoted!”
Maybe some of you heard this lately. But now, your
head is filled with a question: “So what will happen
next?” Kinakabahan. Madalas yan yung nararamdaman
mo after achieving all of these. Hindi mo alam kung
paano ka mag aadjust: Kung paano ka mag aadapt sa
university na napili mo. Sa mga bagong classmates and
professors. Sa mga kaibigan na nakasanayan mo ng
kasama. Sa bagong yugto ng pagiging adult mo. Sa
bagong pamilya na makakasama mo. Sa panibagong
listahan ng mga gastusin. Sa mga taong kailangan mong
pangunahan at pakisamahan.
Hindi ka inilagay ni Lord sa sitwasyon mo para mag relax
lang. Inilagay ka Niya diyan dahil may gagawin Siya sa
buhay mo at sa mga taong nakapaligid sayo. Hindi
natatapos ang Lord sa buhay mo kapag nakamit mo na
ang katagumpayan. Simula pa lamang iyan ng mas
marami pang victory na gagawin ni Lord sa buhay mo.
Magbago man ang sitwasyon mo, hinding hindi pa rin
magbabago ang pagmamahal at pangako Niya sayo.

Daily Verse: John 16:33
Daily Devo: “Though it’s easy to hold onto our hope in
happy situations, we shouldn’t let changing
circumstances cause our faith to falter.”
As the new phase in your life gracefully unfolds, may
you always focus your attention to God and not get
easily swayed by the norms of this world.
Maybe you came to a point of your life when your faith
has been questioned. Matang nagmamatyag at
kumikilatis sa bawat kilos mo. Isang maling galaw mo
lang, isusumbat na nila sa iyo ang pagkakamali mo.
Masasabi nila na hindi ka karapat-dapat na tawaging
anak Niya. But love, people tend to forget that you’re
just human too — flawed and imperfect. But that’s okay
because the God who saved you by His Grace, who paid
the price of your sins at the cross and lastly who
overcome the world for you knows your human nature
and still accepts you as who you are.
Kaya kahit ano pa man ang ibato nila tungkol sa iyo,
have the compassion to forgive them at huwag mong
hayaan na baguhin nila ang pananaw mo sa buhay lalo
na’t nasa tabi mo lamang Siya at tutulungan ka Niyang
malagpasan iyon. You don’t need to track your own
growth just to please this world ngunit kailangan mong
magtiwala sa Kanya. Let Him transform you according to
His will. Huwag kang mag-adjust dahil gusto ng iba na
iyon ang gawin mo. Instead, gawin mo ang isang bagay
dahil Siya ang nagsabi sa iyo. Live the life God has called
you. You won’t have any regrets, rather you will come
out victorious.

Daily Devo: Have you ever tried moving to a new place?
As a person who lived in a province for most of my
current lifetime, I struggled so much during my first few
weeks in Manila. Just a step out of the apartment and
you’re facing all the smogs and the horrible traffic, high
cost of living, and the community and culture and you’re
an alien to. It was a life I wasn’t used to, and I felt so
stressed and tired, and unmotivated.
We commonly struggle about going out into another
situation, new environment, and we always stress about
having to change our lifestyle, and sometimes even our
body clock. The same happens in your Christian life. Life
is a series of seasons and transitions – each of them a
battle. You constantly need to adjust because God
doesn’t want you to settle in the comfort of being used
to, in where you are today. If you remain in your
comfort zone, then you will miss out the new things that
God can miraculously do in your life. You will not see the
beauty of the process so that you’ll mature in His
presence. The longer you dwell with this comfort, the
more you miss out of who God is.
If God meant you to go to another season, then He
surely would love to help you through the transition.
God never leaves you, even for a wink of an eye. His love
gently persists to shape you and help you to fit in the
new vessel. This is easier said than done but you just
have to surrender your heart and let your spirit dwell in
His presence. When you’re in His love, you can surely
make it through transitions.

Daily Devo: Have you ever done something to the point
of blaming yourself?
Minsan nakakagawa ka ng mga kasalanan at hindi mo
alam kung ano ang pwedeng maging consequences. Yes,
you commit sins but always remember that Jesus
already forgave you. All you have to do is to confess and
repent. You don't have to blame yourself, my dear.
Blaming yourself could lead you to destruction. So stop
blaming and start forgiving yourself.
Minsan kasi nauunahan ka ng takot na lumapit sa Kanya,
that's why sinasarili mo lahat ng problema. Don't be
scared. He will not get mad at you. He is willing to save
and direct you to the right path. In the midst of
darkness, Jesus is your light. He will hug you tight while
whispering, "Everything will be okay. Just trust me." In
everything you do, humble yourself before Him. Yung
pride mo ang isa sa mga barriers kung bakit hindi ka
humihingi ng tulong sa Kanya. Nasagot lang yung mga
prayers mo, kinalimutan mo na rin Siya. At minsan iniisip
mo rin na kaya mo na without His help and little did you
know, you’re already walking on the wrong path.
Huwag kang mahihiyang lumapit sa Kanya. Kapag
nagkamali ka, wag kang panghinaan ng loob instead
lumapit ka sa iyong Tagapagligtas. Hindi pa huli ang
lahat para ikaw ay magbago, lumapit at humingi ka ng
tulong sa Kanya. Tatanggapin ka ni Jesus ng buong buo.
You are a sinner but His grace saved you. It's not too late
para tanggapin mo Siya sa buhay mo. Jesus will accept
you with arms wide open, no matter how many times
you’ve turned your back at Him. Once you’ve accepted
Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, there's no
turning back. Believe that with Jesus your life will get
better.

Daily Verse: 2 Corinthians 4:17
Daily Devo: You woke up late. You spilled coffee on
yourself. The commute and traffic was bad. You forgot
your homework and your professor gave you a scolding.
You haven't replied to an urgent email and your boss
gave you a coaching session.
Some days just feel like there are malevolent forces
trying to pick on you. Often times you can live with it as
long as it remains as little annoying stuff. You can still
steer pretty well until these trivial things evolve into
huge dilemmas and start to batter your life.
When things get dicey, you start to question your
standing with God. Is He really working things for your
sake? Or are your prayers waitlisted due to millions of
more urgent callings God is attending to?
Being a believer doesn't mean that you are excused of
the troubles of this world. But it does guarantee that
you are not facing it alone. God hears every single
prayer you uttered. He sees you right where you are and
He is more familiar of you than you are aware of. He is
watching you closely and is still in control even when
things doesn't make sense.
It will be uncomfortable but still, rejoice. For God
doesn't work in comfort.
God is putting you into a place where you can grow. Like
a house under renovation, there will be wrecking and
breaking. And from there, God will rebuild you into
victory.
When problems are thrown at you like stones, remind
yourself that your momentary troubles are achieving
something in heavenly realms, accomplishing an eternal
glory that far outweighs them all.

Daily Devo: Madaling mag "Thank you, Lord" kapag madaming blessings, kapag
okay ang lahat at kapag lahat ng sagot Niya ay "Yes”. Eh paano kapag “No”? Wala
ng thank you? There are times naman talaga in our lives that it is so hard to give
thanks, and that's okay.

Magpapasalamat ka ba kung: Bumagsak ka sa exam? A loved one died? You broke

up with your girlfriend or boyfriend? May sakit ka? O walang nangyayaring
maganda sa buhay mo?

2000 years ago may isang nagmahal at patuloy na nagmamahal sa iyo na

nagbuwis ng Kanyang buhay. Gaya ng sitwasyon mo ngayon, wala din naman
Siyang rason para gawin yun. Bakit Niya pipiliing mamatay para sa gaya mo?
Walang dahilan pero ginawa Niya pa rin ng dahil sa napakalaki Niyang pag-ibig
para sayo.

Kaya kung nauubusan ka na ng ipagpapasalamat, lalo kang magpasalamat kasi

kahit walang magandang nangyayari sa buhay mo, ina-allow pa rin Niyang
gumising ka sa umaga.

No matter how your day went, whisper a "Thank you Lord". Anong malay mo,
yung pasasalamat nalang pala ang kulang para sa breakthrough mo.

Daily Devo: Thank you! Salamat!
Is what you tell your friends, your family, your loved
ones when they give you presents on your birthday,
graduation, when you got promoted, or when they
appreciate you. But have you ever thank God for all the
things he has done for you? Or have you forgotten
about Him? The God who always provide your needs yet
you always fail to see.
Sometimes because you are so preoccupied with life you
tend to forget to thank God even to the little things He
has given you. You’ve forgotten that He has given you
your lives, your breathe, your friends, your loved ones
and even where you are at right now; your career. A lot
of times you complain that God is giving you little
accompanied by never-ending problems while greatly
blessing others with things you wish you also have.
Beloved he has given you enough that the world could
never give; the grace and love in Christ Jesus. Isn’t it
enough that He sacrificed His own Son for your sins? So
do not complain if you don’t have an iPhone, a dslr
camera, or got promoted. Instead, consider it pure joy
when you face troubles because your faith and
perseverance are being strengthened by God (see James
1:2-3). Be thankful! give thanks to the LORD in all
circumstances, even in pains, sorrows, even when God
doesn’t seem to answer your prayers and even when He
took everything away from you.
God wants to teach you to be grateful. To have a heart
and a mindset that always give thanks, that is always
grateful not just when you have everything but also
when you have nothing. Be reminded that everything
happens in His time. Have a grateful heart because it is
God’s will for you.

Daily Devo: "Magpasalamat kayo sa Panginoon dahil
Siyaʼy mabuti; ang Kanyang pag-ibig ay walang
hanggan."
Today, take a moment to breath in the goodness of the
Lord. Think of the things that God did in your life. Sa
totoo lang, kulang ang salitang "salamat" para
mapasalamatan Siya sa Kanyang kabutihan sa buhay mo.
If you will deeply realize how faithful our God is,
nakakalungkot lang na minsan nagagawa mo pa rin na
maging unfaithful sa Kanya. You may not be faithful to
Him sometimes, yet He's still faithful of His love for you.
Kahit na namimisinterpret mo kung paano ka ituwid ng
Panginoon, He still continues to lead you to the right
path kasi kapakanan mo pa rin ang iniisip Niya. Kahit na
may mga pagkakataong nakakalimutan mong
magpasalamat, He still manage to sustain your needs.
Kahit na pagdating sa mga pagsubok hindi mo
magawang makapagpasalamat, He still gives you the
strength you need to conquer your problems. Kahit na
may mga pagkakataong you choose things over Him, He
will always undoubtedly choose you over anything. Kahit
na nagtatampo ka kapag hindi natutugon ang iyong mga
prayers, He still prepares the best plans for you. In fact,
you can’t count the times God has proven His
faithfulness to you.
Nakakalimutan mo man na pasalamatan si Lord, still He
will never forget you. That's why in everything you do
dapat naaalala mong magpasalamat sa Kanya. Allow
your heart and thought to speak with gratitude on the
fact that God loves you faithfully and endlessly. Take a
few more minutes to ponder what He has done in your
life and give thanks to the Lord with all your heart.

Daily Devo: “Why do you stay the furthest to God only
when you are at peace? Why do you pray so earnestly
when you are in trouble?”
Maybe you asked yourself these questions before and
can’t help but get ashamed. Hindi mo namalayan na
kusang tumulo yung luha mo habang sinisimulang
alalahanin ang mga bagay na ginawa Niya para sa iyo.
Bakit nga ba hirap tayong lapitan Siya kapag tayo’y may
galak sa puso? Bakit sa pighati lang natin nagagawang
tawagin Siya?
Always remember, when you cry, He will cry with you.
When you feel exhausted, He will carry the burden for
you. When you’re feeling blue, He will lift your spirits up.
He will be with you until the end of time. Kaya bakit
hindi mo itaas ang iyong kamay sa Kanya at bigyang
kapurihan ang lahat ng bagay na ginawa Niya sa buhay
mo. People will tell you, “It is easier said than done.”
Pero kung may Diyos kang kagaya Niya, walang
imposible. You can do all things because He will
strengthen you to face what is yet to come.
Raise your Hallelujah for we are nothing without Him.

Daily Verse: 2 Corinthians 4:15-16
Daily Devo: Back then you used to be the type of person
who give thanks to God only when good things come
into your life. But when difficulties and challenges
unexpectedly occur along the way, you forget to thank
Him. In most cases you don’t know why. You assumed,
maybe because you are used to getting good things and
you never know how to give thanks even when facing
difficulties and challenges.
As your relationship with God grows, challenges and
struggles also keeps on growing maybe in your
academics, schedules, duties and responsibilities. Along
with the never-ending challenges are problems, failures,
pressures, and stress. But God is constantly telling you
"Im here, surrender everything to me." He never fails to
remind you that he is by your side. Yet again you always
forget about Him. His unfailing love and overflowing
favors when difficulties and challenges come knocking at
your door. You thought that you could do it all without
the help of others and Him but brothers and sisters, no
you can’t. You cannot do anything without Him. For your
strength and courage is dependent on Him alone.
In 2 Corinthians 4:15-16, God taught us that whenever
we are facing challenges, we should thank Him because
He is the one making us stronger and bolder to face
whatever mountains we may face. Give thanks to the
Lord your God because He has promised that after all
these tribulations, breakthrough will come upon our
lives. Never forget to thank Him each and everyday for
making you stronger and braver and even for the little
things that we received. Because a grateful heart is the
closest to God.

Daily Devo: We are living here on earth freely. We have
the freedom. We can do whatever we want. Pero
minsan ba naisip mo ng magpasalamat sa lahat ng iyong
tinatamasa?
God gave you what you wanted and what you needed.
Hindi ka Niya pinagkaitan, kahit na minsan naiisip mo na
bakit ikaw ay wala, pero sila ay meron. Naka plano kasi
ang bawat biyaya na iyong natatanggap.
One gesture of thanksgiving can move God’s heart. Pero
aminin mo man o hindi minsan ay nakakalimot kang
magpasalamat, hirap na hirap kang gawin ito madalas pa
nga ay puro ka reklamo. Hindi mo napapansin kinakain
ka na ng sariling insecurities mo at minsan ay sobrang
inggit sa iba. Hindi makuntento kung ano ang meron at
kung ano ang natatanggap. Gusto laging nakakahigit,
nakakaangat. Nakakalungkot isipin na ganun ang iba sa
inyo.
Maaring ito na ang tamang oras upang imulat mo ang
mga matang nakasarado. Imulat upang makita ang
kahalagahan ng bawat biyayang natatanggap, maliit man
ito o malaki. Makuntento sa kung ano ang meron ka.
Hindi mapag reklamo. Hindi abuso. Ito na ang tamang
oras upang bumalik ka sa orihinal na ikaw. Ikaw na
marunong magpasalamat sa lahat ng natatanggap at
walang halong abuso.
Kahit na anong hirap, kahit na ano ang iyong
pinagdadaanan, malaking problema o maliit,
nahihirapan man, magpasalamat ka pa rin sa Panginoon.
Nararanasan mo ang mga bagay na ito hindi dahil
inallow nya itong mangyari sa buhay mo kundi dahil
alam Niya na kaya mo itong mapagtagumpayan dahil sa
kabila ng mga ito ay magiging matatag at malakas ka.

Daily Verse: Psalms 86: 12
Daily Devo: How could you praise God if you are
suffering from pain? Yung halos araw-araw dinudurog
ang puso mo ng mga masasakit na alaala. How could you
praise Him with all your heart kung yung mismong puso
mo, kailangan ng healing? How could you praise Him if
you are grieving to someone you love? Paano ka pa
magpapasalamat kung yung mismong taong
ipinagpapasalamat mo sa Lord, sila yung mismong
nawala?
Okay, let’s make this easy to understand. How could you
praise Him if you are in the middle of drought? Eh, bakit
naman biglang naisingit yung drought dito? Anong
konek? Di ba ang init pa naman ng panahon ngayon
tapos laging walang tubig sa Metro Manila. Hindi ka
makaalis ng bahay kasi hindi ka makapaligo. (Uy,
nakarelate ka ba?) Nakakainis yun, di ba? Nakakawala ng
pasensya. Magpapasalamat ka pa rin ba?
As defined by Kerry Howells, “Gratitude has this giving
and receiving dynamic while praise can often be used to
acknowledge the good points in another but not
necessarily what we receive from them. In this sense,
it’s a one-way interaction, solely dependent on the giver
of the praise.”
Praise means acknowledging Him even when you don’t
receive anything in return. Kasi yung buhay mo pa lang,
isang malaking pagpapala na yan na ibinigay ni Lord.
Kaya nga magpasalamat ka sa Kanya hindi lang dahil sa
mga bagay na natatanggap mo kundi sa mga bagay na
ibinibigay Niya kahit hindi mo naman deserve. Kahit
hindi mo naman pinaghirapan at higit sa lahat hindi mo
naman hiningi. Dahil si Lord, magbibigay yan kapag
gusto Niya at kapag kalooban Niya talaga kahit wala pa
Siyang marinig na thank you galing sayo. Ang bait ng
Lord no? Hindi ka pa ba magpapasalamat ng buong
puso?

Daily Verse: Philippians 3:12-13

Daily Devo: When was the last time you let go of something? What are those
things you fully surrender to the Lord?

I am sure that you already heard these words: Bitaw na. There are some point in
your life that you had a glimpse of the past and you can't help but still feel the
pain and feel remorse on the things you've done. It might be broken dreams,
shattered promises or a shameful past or decisions. Sa tuwing bumabalik ang mga
bagay na iyon parang isang tilaok ng manok na naalala mo yung eksaktong
nangyari just like Peter did who went outside and wept bitterly. Kagaya mo.
Kagaya ko na hindi rin mapatid ang pag-iyak. Ang pagkamuhi sa sarili. Ang mga
salitang ‘sana’ na paulit-ulit mong sinasambit. Sana hindi ko nalang ginawa. Sana
maibabalik ko pa. Because everytime it crows you remember the shame of your
failures.

Yet, right now God is speaking to you, "Anak ko, pinatawad na kita. 2000 years
ago. I already given you the freedom." A call to all who are still in prison of their
past: Let go. Move forward. Live bold. Live free.

Bitaw na sa "Baka mahusgahan ako" at tanggapin ng buo ang Kanyang

pagpapalaya. Bitaw na sa "Nakakahiyang nakaraan" at lasapin ang mayamang
biyaya na puno ng pagpapatawad. Bitaw na sa "Baka di ako matanggap ng iba" at
maniwalang namatay si Kristo para sayo hindi para matanggap ka kundi
katanggap tanggap ka para ibigay ang buhay Niya para sayo. Bitaw na sa panliliit
mo sa iyong sarili dahil anak ka ng Diyos at mahalaga ka sa kanyang paningin.

So dear, cling to His promises that everytime the rooster crows, you no longer
remember the shame because His grace and love is greater than what you had
done in the past.

Daily Verse: Isaiah 43:18-19
Daily Devo: Bakit kaya may mga tao na ayaw kumawala
sa kanilang nakaraan? Isa ka rin ba sa kanila? Anong
dahilan mo bakit ayaw mong kumawala dito? Oo,
maganda na i-treasure mo ang mga magagandang alaala
dahil dito ka magiging masaya. At sa tuwing maaalala
mo ito, mapapangiti ka dahilan para mag bago ang
mood mo. But why there are some people who also
treasure hurtful memories? Kung isa ka mga taong ito,
para sa iyo ang sulat kong ito.
The bible says, "Remember not the former things, nor
consider the things of old." (v. 18). Hindi mo kailangan
ang mga pangit na nakaraan o pangyayari sa buhay mo.
Kung palagi ka nalang tanggap ng tanggap ng mga bagay
na hindi naman dapat, nagpapapasok ka lang ng basura
sa isipan mo. At kung ipagpapatuloy mo ito, sinasayang
mo lang ang magandang mangyayari palang sa buhay
mo. Masaklap pa nito, nandun ka na sa point na
nasayang mo na siya. Wala eh! Naka tingin ka pa sa
nakaraan kaya yung mga tao o magagandang sitwasyon
sa kasalukuyan ay hindi mo na napapansin. Pero may
good news ako para sayo. Hindi pa huli ang lahat.
Ganoon kabuti ang Panginoon sa buhay mo. Lahat ng
mga pangit na nangyari sayo. Mga pangit na alaala na
inilalagay ng kaaway sa isipan mo. Lahat ng iyan ay
papalitan ng Panginoon ng mga magagandang alaaala.
Dahil may inihanda Siya para sa iyo.
"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do
you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert." (v. 19).
Ang kailangan mo lang gawin ay buksan ang iyong mga
mata, ibaling ang isipan sa kung ano ang kasalukuyan na
ginagawa at gagawin pa ng Panginoon sa buhay mo.
Hinahamon kita. Subukan mong kumawala. Subukan
mong humakbang pasulong at hayaan ang Panginoon na
kumilos sa buhay mo at huwag ng tumingin pa sa mga
masasamang ala-ala.

Encouraged ka sa ganitong panahon kasi you are as if
being led by a desire inside your heart to do better.
Often times you affiliate this "moving on" sa love life
alone. But it isn’t. You have so many things to let go in
this lifetime: People, dreams, and even yourself. Mas
madami, lalo na kapag nasa Panginoon ka. Bakit? Kasi
magkaiba kayo ng gusto. Ikaw nababago standard mo, si
Lord hindi. Ikaw nadadala ka sa emosyon, si Lord hindi.
Kasi alam Niya yan lahat at hindi Nya hahayaang
pagdaanan mo pa ang kamaliang nakikita Niya mula sa
itaas.
Kapatid, maaaring sa season na ito ay tinuturuan ka ni
Lord na pakawalan yung mga bagay na hindi talaga para
sayo at maghintay lamang sa Kanya. Ang mga sakit na
nadarama mo ay dala ng paghawak sa mga tao na hindi
naman itinakdang manatili sa buhay mo. Huwag mong
ipilit. Huwag kang mapagod maghintay sa tama. Huwag
ka mapagod maghintay sa Kanya.
Anuman ang mga nararanasan mo ngayon, sana maging
option mo ang bumitaw. Huwag mo ng sugatan pa ang
iyong kamay dahil naipako na sa krus si Jesus para sayo,
sapat na yun — sapat na Siya.
Wag ka ding matakot na baka kapag bumitaw ka ay
mahulog ka at mamatay dahil ang pagpili sa Diyos ay
pagpili sa buhay na walang hanggan.
Muli, huwag kang mapagod maghintay.

A season of letting go
Wednesday, May 29
Daily Verse: Philippians 3:12-14
Daily Devo: Have you ever noticed that whenever
seasons are changing, the weather gets even more
unpredictable? Sa umaga sobrang hangin. Sa hapon
naman tumatagaktak ang pawis mo. Itatago mo na yung
mga sinuot mo pang beach kasi di mo na kailangan.
Yung mga nakasanayan mo nung tag-ulan, di mo na
maapply sa tag-araw.
The same thing goes for our lives. Maybe you are in your
transition period. Maybe God is telling you that it's
almost time to enter a new season of your life. Pero sa
pagbago ng panahon, kailangan bago na rin ang
dala-dala mo. Kailangan prepared ka sa mga panibagong
sitwasyon, panibagong makakasama, panibagong
pagsubok. The change of seasons can put you in a state
of frustration or discomfort kasi madalas pinagpipilitan
pa rin i-keep ang mga bagay na hindi na pala kailangan.
Masakit at mahirap mag let go. It takes time pero
kailangan gawin.
Holding on to the people and things that God intended
to stay in your past can cause you to miss out on God's
best for you. You have to set them free. Most
importantly, kailangan mo patawarin ang sarili mo for
your past mistakes. Like Apostle Paul, you are not
perfect yet. Magkakamali at magkakamali ka pero do
not let this stop you from achieving your goal. Let go of
what is behind and strain toward what is ahead. Press
on! (see Philippians 3:13-14)
It's time to accept that time goes on. Whether we are
prepared or not, magbabago at magbabago ang buhay.
Kung hindi mo kayang i-let go ang mga mabibigat sa
puso mo, maaaring maiwan ka ng panahon. God is doing
something new in your life (see Isaiah 43:19). Surrender
your past to God and make room for an even greater
future.

Daily Verse: Habakkuk 2:3
Daily Devo: A man came into your life. Everything was
okay, yet God said “No”. You were torn between
choosing him over God. You were thinking that maybe
you can do both. But God was constantly telling you,
“My child it’s not yet time”. You were weeping because
you can’t disobey God’s will. Thus, you let go of the
person.
Here comes an opportunity you’ve prayed for
passionately. A stepping stone to your dream job, yet
again God told you, “My dear this is not what I prepared
for you”. You want to take chances but you know it’s not
God’s way. You were in agony because you have to turn
down an opportunity that seldom comes, an open door
that might change your career.
“It’s not God’s will”
“It’s not God’s time yet”
“God knows what’s best for me”
Did you ever experience these situations wherein you
have to let go of something you really want, perhaps
you’ve prayed for because God told you to do so and
because you want to be faithful to God? Did you ever
tell yourself those phrases repeatedly like a song on
loops just to make you feel better? Letting go hurts a lot.
But beloved if God wants you to let go and to wait listen
well. Maybe there are still areas in your life that God
wants to mold or maybe God wants you to reach your
full potentials. If it seems slow, wait for it, it will surely
come. God is faithful to His promises. It doesn’t fail. He
doesn’t lie. And he doesn’t delay.
God’s “no” and “not yet” is His way of saving you from
missed blessings and distraction. Remember God’s
promised beloved (see Jeremiah 29:11). Wait for God’s
perfect time because if it’s His time, “yes” would be the
sweetest word you would ever hear. So love, let go and
let God.

Week 5
A season of letting go
Friday, May 31
Daily Verse: Ecclesiastes 3:1,10
Daily Devo: When you feel the tremors in your heart,
read Isaiah 41:10.
When you feel the time is passing by, but you remain
exhausted and demotivated to do anything in life. When
you feel uncertain from the moment you wake till you
sleep. When you spend your days imprisoned in
defeating thoughts and fighting endless conflicts in your
head, read Colossians 3:23.
When you hide the pain behind your smiles. When you
choose to cope with the agony living in you and let them
stay in perpetuity. When you surrender the battle for
yourself, being destructed in silence. When the
tiredness remains through all of the comforts and rests
you’ve had, read Isaiah 43:2.
You may not know how you got in this situation of your
life. But remember, God can turn your biggest
heartbreak into a gift. He can deliver you out of the
hopeless situation. That’s how powerful He is. You just
have to let them go. This is your season of letting go of
all the fears, doubts and negativity in your life.
Learn to let go of what and who weighs you down.
Unload the burden you were never meant to carry. Let
go of the thoughts you were never meant to think of.
Let go of the feelings and negativity you were never
meant to feel. Let go of the expectations you were never
meant to live by. Let go of who you think the world will
like and be someone you love.
Place your life in Him, and all these things will change in
time. Be hopeful and set your identity in Christ alone.
Let go and let God turn the wilderness season into
springs of joy.
Let go of what make you feel miserable today. Choose
to let go and breathe again. You will make it, with Him.
