A DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN


GRADE 7 SCIENCE
Content Standard: The learners demonstrate understanding of the different phenomena that occur in the
atmosphere.

Performance Standard: The learners should be able to analyze the advantages of the location of the
Philippines in relation to the climate, weather and seasons.

Learning Competency: Account for the occurrence of land and sea breezes, monsoons, and intertropical
convergence zone (ITCZ). (S7ES-IVf-7)

I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to.
 Define monsoons and its two kinds
 Differentiate land breeze from sea breeze and
 Give examples how the monsoons (amihan and habagat) affect people.
