Subject

To share the knowledge about engine oil pressure alarm.

Failure/Problem
Engine oil pressure alarm.

Symptom
- Warning lights up on instrument panel.
- IECU appear MID 128 PID 100 FMI 1.
- Alarm buzzer will sound.
History

Cause & analysis

Possible cause are following
- Oil level is too low.
- Contaminated oil, slow flowing.
- Fault in overflow valve
- Defective sensor.

Action
Our service team checked the machine. At start key on position, IECU appeared 128 PID 100 FMI 1. So we
metered at engine oil pressure sensor socket. It had SV at power line and ground function also normal. So we
changed the engine oil pressure sensor. And then we tested the machine, it was ok.
