1. Isu / Masalah / Peristiwa

Throughout this week, the problem that I faced was students difficulty in reading. Firstly, my
students were easily carried away and they refused to open their mouth to read. This
happen frequently when I asked them to read about the lifecycle of certain insects. There
are a number of students in my class who have difficulties in reading. I have to read word by
word with them and this consumed so much of time. Besides, by finding the meaning of new
vocabularies in the dictionary, it consumed time too.
2. Pandangan dan perasaan terhadap isu/ masalah/ peristiwa

This issue occurred during most of my lessons because reading was the main. I was
frustrated at first because I was worried on how to make them read aloud. I began to be
stern enough with my students and they improved a little by the end of this week. For the
extremely weak readers, I sat with them and read word by word so that they will not feel
ignored during the lesson.
3. Analisis isu/ masalah/ peristiwa

3.1 Punca/ Sebab

Students participation reading proficiency is weak and thus this lead to a problem in
managing the time.

3.2 Kekuatan/ Kelemahan

Pupil’s weakness is their participation and reading proficiency.


The main strength is their level of understanding in certain task. Eventhough they do not
show much interest in reading, they still tend to complete the task given correctly by seeking
for guidance from me and their peers.
4. Cadangan Idea untuk menyelesaikan masalah

Thus, I need to make some improvements to improve my students participation in reading.


Besides, i need to conduct different types of reading lessons in my class so that the students
will not get bored. Moreover, I need to give extra guidance to the weak ones in the
classroom by doing one-to-one reading session.

I have planned to improvise on my teaching techniques. Besides, I have planned to


improvise my lesson by giving extra guidance to the weak and slow learners in my
classroom.

- Variations in teaching method.


- More guidance and support for the weak students.
