Required Material: Textbook, whiteboard, board marker, duster
Methodology Time

Day 1:
Warm up:
To warm up the students, teacher will take board presentation of their previous day
home task. For this, teacher will divide the board into parts by drawing lines and assign 10 min
one question to one student. Hence teacher can conduct presentation from 2, 3 or 4
students at a time on board to manage time. Teacher will conduct presentation from
those students who did not take part in previous day presentation.
Explanation & Activities:
Teacher will briefly describe the concepts of sets, its types etc. Then teacher will define
20 min
a few important terms of mathematical concepts like subsets, improper subset, proper
subset etc. by giving few real life examples.

Now teacher will solve the following question(s) on board from Exercise 1e textbook
page # 13, 14. (Q # 1, Q # 2)
Now students will solve MCQs from textbook page # 15. Students may ask questions 10 min
from teacher, if they have any confusion in lesson.
Wrap up:
Make sure that students have complete their questions on their textbook.
Homework:
Students will solve Q # 3 from Exercise 1e page # 14 of their textbook.
They will learn & define the mentioned sets in Q # 3 on their notebooks.
Day 2:
Warm up:
To brainstorm the students, teacher will recall the concept of set builder notation, 10 min
tabular notation, Equivalent sets and symbols used in sets.
Explanation & Activities:
Now teacher will solve the following question(s) on board from Test Paper 1 of
textbook page # 16
Q # 1 (i), Q # 4 (i), Q # 5 (i).
During this phase students will pay their attention toward the board. They will not focus 20 min
on write the question(s) from board to their notebooks. They will just listen and
comprehend.
Afterwards they will note these question(s) on their notebooks
Wrap up:
Now teacher will make five groups of students and divide the questions among groups.
Now ask them to solve the following mentioned question(s) on their notebooks by using 10 min
the concept techniques. Teacher will facilitate them in their work. Q # 1 (ii), Q # 2, Q # 3,
Q # 4 (ii), Q # 5 (ii).
Homework:
Students will complete the remaining parts of questions Q#1, Q#4, Q#5 from Test
Paper 1 on page # 16 of the textbook.
Day 3:
Warm up:
Teacher will clear the difference between equal and equivalent sets by giving different 10 min
examples on white board.
Explanation & Activities:
Now teacher will solve the following question(s) on board from Test Paper 1 of
textbook page # 16, 17.
Q # 6, Q # 7, Q # 8, Q # 9. 20 min
During this phase students will pay their attention toward the board. They will not focus
on write the question(s) from board to their notebooks. They will just listen and
comprehend.
Wrap up:
Students will note these questions on their textbooks. 10 min
Homework:
Students will complete the remaining parts of questions Q # 6, Q # 7, Q # 8, Q # 9 from
Test Paper 1 on page # 16, 17 of the textbook.
