1.5. Working Principal and Working Status

The 48V Lithium Ion Baery Pack is mainly working as 48VDC backup power source, and it consists of 15 cells
of Lithium Iron Phosphate Baery Cells connected in series and telecom specialized high performance and
high reliability Baery Management System (BMS). The baery’s +/- output terminals are connected to
the +/- terminals of recfier. When the mains supply is normal, telecom equipment is powered by mains
through recfier and baery pack is also charged through recfier; When the mains supply is outage, the
48V lithium ion baery pack is supplying power to telecom equipment without any me-delay to ensure
telecom equipment is powered without any interrupons, unl mains supply resumed or protecve power
cut-off by BMS due to over-discharge protecon acvated automacally.

1.9.6 Balance funcon

When the baery pack is charged, if the cell voltage reaches the equalizaon turn-on voltage, and the maximum
voltage difference is greater than the equalizaon voltage difference, the cell that meets the condion turns on
the equalizaon funcon. Baery supports up to 6 channels simultaneously to turn on equalizaon. The
maximum equalizaon current is about 75Ma.
1.9.7 LED indicaon funcon
6 LED indicators are used to indicate the baery’s status. 4 green indicators are used for showing baery SOC, 1
red indicator is used for showing failure indicaon, 1 green operang indicator is used for showing baery’s
operaon status, i.e. standby, charging, discharging, etc.

BMS Test
SOC esmaon accuracy is tested
under different voltage, current and
temperature:
1. High-precision voltmeter, test
monomer voltage and BMS
Sampling error (current, acquision voltage comparison;
Comply with Technical Design
1 voltage, temperature, 2. Conduct charging and discharging
Requirement
accuracy) test on the equipment and compare
current data.
3. Infrared thermometer, tesng
temperature comparison between
each temperature control point and
the collected temperature of BMS;
In the charging and discharging
process of the test capacity, the
actual discharge capacity when the
intercepon of SOC is 30%, 50% and
2 SOC esmaon accuracy ≤8% 90%, and the discharge
capacity/actual total capacity rao is
obtained to obtain the real SOC, and
the SOC value is displayed by the host
machine.

5. Shipment
The baery should be packed in cartons under the condion of half capacity 20%-50% for shipment. The violent
vibraon, impacon or squeezing should be avoided in the transport process; neither is exposed in the sunlight
nor rain. The baeries shall be shipped by normal transportaon such as by road, by train, by ocean or by air.

6. Storage
The baery storage shall be in the clean and dry venlaon room at the temperature of 0∼40°C and shall keep
out of fire or heat and avoid touching corrosion elements. The baeries shall be charged every 8 or 12 months
(0 ~ 30 - 12month, 30 ~ 40℃ - 8 month) during storage.

7. Cauon and Prohibion in Handling

Warning for using the rechargeable lithium ion baery. Mishandling of the baery may cause heat, fire and
deterioraon in performance. Please be noced the following cauons.

Cauons
 Please read the user manual carefully before using the lithium ion baery.
 No human body shall direct contact the posive/negave poles at the same me if the baery’s voltage
exceeds 36V safety voltage.
 Please read the specific charging device’s user manual carefully before charging.
 When the baery is not charged aer long exposure to the charger, disconnue charging.
 Please check the posive (+) and negave (-) direcon before connecon.
 Baery must be stored in a dry area with low temperature (≤25°C) environment for long-term storage.
 Do not expose the baery in direct sunlight or heat.
 Do not use the baery in high stac energy environment where the protecon device can be damaged.
 When rust or smell is detected on first use, please return the product to the seller immediately.
 Keep the baery out of reach of children and pets.
 When baery life span shortens aer long period of usage, please exchange to new baery.
 No metal objects (rings, watches, and other metal accessories, etc.) can be worn during the handling of
baery.
 Charge me should not be longer than specified in the manual.
 Do not expose the baery out of the temperature range specified in the specificaon.

Prohibions
 Do not use different charger to charge the battery.
 Do not charge with constant current higher than maximum charge current allowed.
 Do not disassemble or reconstruct the baery.
 Do not throw or cause impact.
 Do not pierce a hole in the baery with sharp objects, such as nail, knife, pencil, drill, etc.
 Do not mixing with other baeries.
 Do not solder on baery directly.
 Do not expose the baery to high heat, such as fire, etc.
 Do not put the baery into a microwave or high-pressure container.
 Do not use the baery in reverse.
 Do not connect posive (+) and negave (-) with conducve materials, such as metal, cables, etc.
