What am I required to do in this assignment?

Enterprise Information Management (EIM) provides consistent and reliable architectures, guidelines, standards, tools, and
services for the analysis, design, management, delivery, and integration of institutional data.
The purpose of assessment report is fundamentally focused towards evaluating the major objectives, success factors and
significant elements of Enterprise Information Systems. This assessment (2A & 2B) carries 70% weighting overall.
1.1 Student Individual Report: Assessment 2(A) (30%) Guidelines
You should select any two Enterprise Information Management (EIM) systems and critically evaluate their major objectives,
architectures, services and success factors for a chosen area of business preferably oil and gas industry.
Some of the examples of EIM’s include but not limited to

 Constellio
If you choose any other topic then you need to take approval from the module lecturer.
The report should include the following sections
Introduction
Major objectives, architectures, services and success factors with respect to the chosen EIM software
Critical evaluation
Conclusion

The student should select any one of the following business functions of SAP S/4 HANA and would require students to perform
complete set of tasks related to the business functions.

The student should record the work done as screen shots with explanation. The screenshots can be copied to a word document

Key objectives to address in this section may include (but not limited to):

o Appraise the software/ technology requirements, its components, and its features.
o Produce a report with evaluation of at least one EIM system.
o Identify the infrastructure required for the technology to be used with its benefits, ensuring business productivity.
o Differentiate this technology from similar and/or competing technologies in the similar business domain.
o The report should include a substantial amount of academic literature (e.g., academic journals, chapters in edited
research books either in business or other areas (e.g., education, computer science)).
o Research reports from respected firms such as Gartner Group, McKinsey, Nielsen Media and Accenture are also
valuable resources. Resources from the professional business literature (e.g., white papers, trade magazines, reputable
articles on the Web) are acceptable, but should be used rarely and only in context.
o Explain the use of EIM in relation to organizational requirements for the benefit of the organization.
o Provide an artifact with completeness of working, having excellent details and accuracy

How does assignment relate to what we are doing in scheduled sessions?


The scheduled sessions as cover the importance of enterprise Information systems, Business Strategy driven IT management,
use of information systems to achieve competitive advantage and IT as a Strategic driver for decision making. The assignment
criteria require the student to an enquiry/analysis of challenges in Information System regarding the appropriate practices
available for building enterprise information systems for the selected area of business. Further practical sessions on SAP S/4
would help the student in navigation and understanding of business functions.
