About the Department
The Department of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering was established from the inception
infrastructure.
60 students for UG, 42 for PG and 60 for the
Diploma courses. The department has an
excellent and experience faculty who have
MSME funding projects, who have published
books and also who have published research
articles in highly reputed national &
international journals. In addition to that the
department has excellent infrastructural
facilities and well equipped laboratories to
impart the sound technical knowledge and to
carryout real time projects beyond the syllabus.
About the Programme
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of
physical devices, machines, devices, vehicles,
buildings and other items embedded with
electronics, software, sensors and network
connectivity – that enables these devices to
collect and exchange data. The Internet of Things
allows objects to be sensed and controlled
remotely across existing network infrastructure,
creating opportunities for more direct integration
of the physical world into computer based
systems which results in improved efficiency,
accuracy and economic benefit.
When IoT is augmented with sensors and
actuators, the technology becomes an instance of
the more general class of cyber-physical systems,
which also encompasses technologies such as
smart grids, smart homes, Intelligent
transportation, intelligent control of industries
and smart cities. Each thing is easily identifiable
through its embedded computing system but it is
able to incorporate within existing Internet
IoT will consist of almost 50 billion objects by
2020.
This workshop enriches the participants on
the basic concepts of IoT, IoT based real time
control for Industrial applications, Basics of PSO
Algorithm, TLBO algorithm and control of
Multilevel inverters using soft computing
techniques. This Workshop also enables the
participants to gain the basic knowledge on the
implementation of these concepts for real time
problems.
