Long Leg System Stitching User's Guide

1. Select the Long Leg menu


2. Barcode Plate Top IP first
3. Upon bar-coding the first IP, two menus are automatically added
4. Barcode the 2nd and 3rd IP plates in sequence
5. Remove the Top Cassette from the two plate cassette.
6. Run the Top Cassette followed by the 2nd plate and then the 3rd plate
7. The sensitivity is adjusted for the imaging plate that is processed (read) first
8. QA function can be used to adjust the image rotation, contrast and density PRIOR to
image stitching
9. Make sure all image adjustments are made PRIOR to selecting Image Stitching Icon
10. Automatic Image composition takes place when you press the Image Stitching Icon
The Stitching Icon DOES NOT appear automatically
Technologist must highlight one Long Leg menu

11. If necessary manual stitching can be done in the QA mode


12. If you must repeat an exam you have to select a NEW Long Leg Menu

Manual Mode
a) Select QA
b) Go to the QA Tab
c) Select WS icon
d) Correct Orientation or Image Placement if necessary
e) Select NEXT icon
A. Select Fine adjustment Icon and Select Bottom Image to Front Icon
1) Magnify image first
To Magnify—Right Click on Image (Near the Scoliosis Markers)
and then Select Full Scale
2) Drag the on-screen images, with mouse, to place them at an image
composition position (Scoliosis Markers on top one another)
3) May have a very thin line where images stitch
4) Pressing the Back button returns you to the arrangement
order/rotation direction change dialog box
5) Pressing the OK button closes the dialog box and displays the
Stitched image within the image display area.
B. Two point assignment
1) Click the mouse on first point, a marker then appears at that first
point
2) Click the mouse on the second point. The images move so that the
first and second points coincide with each other.

Operation Error Corrective Measures

1) Incorrect Order of IP registration 1) Use image QA processing to change the


order of images to be composed
2) Incorrect Menu select at IP registration 2) Change to the correct menu
3) Cassette inserted in wrong order 3) Use image QA processing to correct the
image rotation direction
4) Unable to Automatic Stitch Images 4) Select OK than QA processing to manually
stitch images
