Force is the impact that creates a change in an object's motion.

It may
maintain the motion of the object or it may distort it. Objects are
pushed or pulled by forces acting on them. Force is proportional to
acceleration, which is defined as the rate of change of velocity. Force
has both direction and magnitude and is therefore a vector quantity.
The concept of force is commonly explained in terms of Isaac Newton’s
three laws of motion set forth in his Principia Mathematica (1687).
According to Newton's first law, an object at stays at rest or an object in
motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. The
second law states that when an external force acts on a body, it
produces an acceleration in the direction of the force applied and the
more mass an object as the more force required to move it. The third
law states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Newton(N) is the unit of measurement for force, it is a unit of the
Systéme International (SI).
