4. PROCEDURES
4.1 Introductory Activity  Prayer
 Checking of assignments and attendance
 Play the game “On the Count of 1, 2, and 3”.
 If the teacher says 1, the students will stand up. If the teacher says 2, the
students will sit, and if the teacher says 3, the students will change seats
with their classmates. The game’s tempo will increase as it proceeds.

4.2 Activity  Introduce the topic by showing pictures of a walking and standing person.
 Ask the students their idea about the image shown.
 The teacher will now define locomotor and non-locomotor movements.
 The teacher will provide examples of locomotor and non-locomotor
movements.

4.3 Analysis  The teacher will play a song.


 The students will stand and the teacher will let the students follow his
execution of basic dance steps simultaneously.
 The teacher must focus on executing dance steps associated with locomotor
and non-locomotor movements.

4.4 Abstraction  The teacher will summarize the lesson.


 The students are given the opportunity to ask further questions for
clarification.
4.5 Application  The teacher will group the class. There will be five groups and 8 members
each considering all forty (40) students are present during the class.
 Every group must create a one (1) min. dance choreography using
locomotor and non-locomotor movements.
 They will be given 10 min. to practice and drawing of lots will be used to
sequence the presentations.
 Feedback will be given after each performance.
 The teacher will award the best performing team base on this rubric:
 Creativity (30%)

4.6 Assessment  The students will create a one-paragraph essay answering the question,
4.7 Assignment “How important are locomotor and non-locomotor movements in doing a
dance?”

 The students will research the fundamental steps in folk dance for their
assignment.

4.8 Concluding Activity  The teacher will let the best performing group present again their dance
choreography but this time, the whole class will follow their dance steps.

5. REMARKS The students actively participated in the class discussion. They have shown interest in the
lesson and some students need further improvements in dancing.

The discussion has been delivered well and the students understood the topic.
