INTRODUCTION

Bakeshop is a common business in our country, Filipinos have a


penchant for breads. Like rice, these baked goods are a staple fare in the
local dining table, and are typically consumed for breakfast or as a snack
from the well-loved pandesal, Filipinos have grown to like different variety of
breads from the usual sweet variants that satisfy their sweet tooth cravings
to savory ones.

Special occasions are celebrated with cakes and breads. Breads also
mirror the culture and history of some provinces in the country.

In this project, a healthier variety of bread are what we are looking


for. This buns that I propose will love the interest of the buyers with my
version of nutritious bread. I would like to introduce varieties of flavors that
consumers would not normally taste. Some of my flavored bread are:
kalabasa (squash), malunggay (horseradish), kamote (sweet potato), ube
(purple yam) and gabi (taro).

Today, people would choose to eat process food product that has a
less healthy nutritional content over the normal foods that is good for our
health. Nutri Bake is a bakery shop that offers nutritious bread to everyone
specially to the people of Sta. Ana, Cagayan. Promoting a healthy and
convenient way of eating by introducing varieties of nutritious bread to the
public which will also benefit not just the consumers with its health
nutrition content it has, but also helps the Filipino farming industries in the
country as well.
1. MARKET VIABILITY

The Demand

According to 2019 census of the Population in the Philippines, Sta.


Ana Cagayan as an estimated population of 36,590 . This data gave us the
chance to examine on how large is the market in an scale of the town. Flour-
based foods have played an increasingly dominant role in the Cagayan. With
the increase in number of businesses engaged in baking there are more
than 10 bakeries in town. Nutri Bake Oven wants to distress the purchasing
influence of most of the Filipinos as it is offering an affordable price and
addressing health and wellness trends in our product offerings.

Nutri Bake Oven offers healthy bread to everyone. Its objective is to set-
up a secure relationship with its customer by developing its services and
offer high-quality products at competitive prices. It is located at Centro, Sta.
Ana Public Market easily accessible because of its place.

 Demographic Characteristics

Nutri Bake Oven considers all types of people in all ages, married or single,
no matter what gender or religion either lower, middle or upper income who
are residing from Sta. Ana Cagayan and its nearby areas, who want to
satisfy their taste buds with a healthy kind of breads.

Most of our market can be defined as Millennials, who are the type of people
that canshell out a minimum amount of money to have a scrumptious meal.
With our product offerings, we are targeting people who are adventurous
enough to try something new.

The result shows that over 50 respondents said that they eat Vegetables
while 25 of the respondent said that they dont eat vegetables, this results
implies that there is a big indication that this product will be viable to the
target consumers who have craved for vegetables.

The result shows that over 45 respondents said that they like to eat bread
while 15 of the respondent said that they dont like to eat bread, this results
implies that there is a big chance that this product will be patronized by the
consumers.

The result show that there are 40 respondents eat bread everyday and 30
occasionally eat while 20 often eat bread and only 5 respondents eat very
often. By this result, I have ideas how much to produce.

The result show that there


are 60% of the respondents find Nutri Bake as an alternative to our common
bread as very satisfying and 27% said they are satisfied and only 13% is
average. By this result I’m confident that my product will be embrace by the
consumers.

The result show that there are 35% respondents likes Malunggay and 30%
likes Kalabasa while there are 20% for Ube and only 15% likes Gabi. These
result gave me the idea on how much Pastries will be produce.
 Psychographic Characteristics

Breads have become a staple fare in the Filipino’s local dining table. Baked
goods, like rice, are consumed for breakfast or as a snack. Most households
opt to relish their breakfast with a cup of coffee and bread.

To uphold my product, Nutri Bake has many health benefits that are
associated with it. It is a known fact that breads have protein, calcium, fiber,
vitamins and mineral .

The Competitive Analysis

Businesses exist in a competitive environment. Bakery are in


competition with each other to provide the best possible value of high
quality and to offer the most suitable range of products for their customers.
Typical bakery are commonly offered common bread. The fact that the value
of each pastries and bread is affordable yet they have few nutrients that our
body needs.

The baking industry is intensely competitive. We compete on the basis


of the taste, quality and price of food offered, guest service, ambience,
location, and overall guest experience. We believe the quality and the
nutritious contents of our products enable us to differentiate ourselves from
our competitors.

The organizational structure of this project is pyramid-shaped
organizational chart. It is the common type of organizational structure. The
chain command goes from the top (CEO or owner) down to the low level
employees. It has a better defines level of authority and responsibility.

The type of business ownership will be partnership; in which the


partners will invest money, skills, and other resources, that are relevant to
the business. In choosing the right people in the business, it has a deep
knowledge of the business operations. It has the authority to commit the
resources needed in the business. Ability and authority to bring people
together to make timely and binding decisions. Also, commitment to the
documented governance processes and activities.

Qualifications needed to manage this business

Position Title: Head Baker

Position Summary: As a Head Baker, you are responsible for operating the
baking kitchen. A Head Baker will also be required to plan production and
develop seasonal offerings. Baker responsibilities include opening the bakery
early in the morning, mixing dough, preparing fillings and glazing pastries.
To be successful in this role, you should have work experience as a Baker
and be able to decorate cakes using creative techniques.

Responsibilities:

 Prepares, produces, and bakes breakfast pastries, breads, rolls, and


some desserts.
 Maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and
ensures the proper storage and refrigeration.
 Manages all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of
the kitchen.
 Able to develop, designs, or creates new ideas and items for Pastry
Kitchen.
 Ensure excellent quality throughout the baking process
Qualification:

 Male/Fermale from 21-26 years old


 2 years Experience in the culinary, food and beverages or related
professional area
 Recognized baking qualifications and trainings

Salary: P8,000.00 monthly

Position Title: Bakery Assistant

Position Summary: Assist the Head Baker in baking. The duties will include,
managing baked goods and ingredient inventories, and taking control of the
daily cleanup procedures at the bakery, also be required to monitor
ingredient expiry dates.

Responsibilities:

 Open the bakery in the morning


 Ability to manage ingredient inventories and to track expiry dates
 Advanced ability to multitask and follow instructions given by Head
baker
 Proficiency in weighing, and packaging of baked goods.

Qualification:

 Male, from 21-26 years old


 Must have good moral character
 High School Diploma or vocational Training or baking coursework

Salary: P5,500.00 monthly

Position Title: Cashier

Position Summary: The Cashier will ensure that prices and quantities are
accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide
helpful information to customers products, promotions, or item location and
it should be responsible.
Responsibilities:

 Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate


items, and providing advice or recommendations.
 Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate
and proving a receipt to every customer.
 Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport

Qualification:

 Female from 21-25 years old


 With pleasing personality
 High School Diploma or equivalent.
 Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.

Salary: P4,500.00 monthly

Governmental Regulations

All government regulations on business require companies to comply with


rules and regulations administered by legislative bodies and carried out by
regulatory agencies. Some regulations impact the ways in which businesses
report income and pay taxes; others regulate how they dispose of their
excess materials or waste. For just about any kind of industry and
transaction, there are government regulations on business.

Business registration

 For my business, partnership, should apply for a business name and


get registered with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
 The business must secure a barangay clearance and acquire a
community tax certificate (CTC).
 With complete requirements, it must secure a business license or
mayor's permit at the local government unit (municipality or city hall
office).
 A business tax payer identification number (TIN) from the Bureau of
Internal Revenue (BIR) must be obtained along with an SSS number
(for the business and employees). The business should also register
with Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), Philippine Health
Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth), and Department of Labor and
Employment (DOLE).
