Pre-lesson:-
Write The Body in the centre of the board and elicit all the ones pupils can remember. (21st
CA)
Lesson development:-
1. Hold up each flashcard in turn and point to the part of your body. Say the word for
pupils to repeat in chorus.
2. Hold up each flashcard for pupils to say the word in chorus and point to the part of
their body. Stick the flashcards on the board to make a word map for body.
ACTIVITIES
3. Teacher distributes worksheet.
4. Pupils look at the pictures in their worksheet. Elicit what they can see.
5. Pupils write the words on boards.
6. Pupils answer their worksheet.
7. Teacher collects worksheet. (CBA)
Post lesson
Pupils stand up. Say the body parts one after another. Pupils say the word and touch the
relevant body part. (HOTS)

Pre-lesson:-
Mime an action from the unit. Pupils take turns to guess. The pupil who guesses correctly
comes to the front and mimes another action. Repeat.
Lesson development:-
1. Read the activity instruction and check pupils know what to do. Play the recording.
Pupils choose and tell their answer.
2. Demonstrate the activity 2 and make sure pupils know what to do.
3. They can do the activity either in small groups or as a mingling activity around the

4. They ask up to six pupils and write their names and yes/no.
5. Elicit from some pupils what they found out, e.g. Who can play the piano? Who can’t
play the guitar?

Post-lesson:-
Draw a simple table on the board, like the one on WB Activity 1. Insert ticks and crosses.
Ask pupils questions about the table, e.g. Can Stacey skip? Pupils take turns to ask and
answer questions in open pairs. (HOTS)
