I had seen in one of the videos that I had watched that a teacher had used a word wall to help her

students to learn better. Instead of the word wall, I had chosen to use sticky notes for my activity.

With the sticky notes activity, I hope to teach students commonly used words to help them not

only to learn new words but also to help them to improve their vocabulary and spelling. With the
activity of teaching students to learn commonly used words, I plan to teach them new vocabulary

words and how to write these new words at the same time. With the activity that incorporates the

different letters of the alphabet, I plan to help students not only to memorize the alphabet but also

learn new words. With the paper fortune teller activity, I plan to help students to learn new

words in a game that they can easily follow and memorize. Students can easily make this game

themselves and learn the new words that they learn from school. I will also include some sight

words that students can learn that I will incorporate into one of the activities. I know this game is

used to tell fortunes but I wanted to use this as an activity to help my students to learn new

words. I hope these activities will help my students with their reading by helping them to learn

new words to improve their vocabulary.
