 INTRODUCTION

The industrial training is compulsory for every student Diploma in Computer Science as
a condition for the award of the diploma. This exercise is also intended to provide exposure and
experience to the students about the real situation in the field of Computer Science and as an
early preparation for students before entering the working world. For the 2022 session, the
training runs for 24 weeks, starting from 7 March 2022 until 19 August 2022.
I undergo my internship at Lakaran Cinta Sistem as a web system developer. my
supervisor Mr. Mohammad Amirul Helmi bin Mohamad Arif assigned me to the
KS(Kejuruteraan Sistem) department. My job as the practical student is to handle the clients of
the company and develop web systems that are requested by the clients. The languages used to
perform my task are HTML, CSS and PHP. My job not only developing the web system, it's also
including fix the error of client’s website and test run a websistem that develop by other interns.

Week Progress

1 - Supervisor share client’s contact

- Contact client and introduce myself
- Ask for client requirement and website preference
- Gather all information needed from the clients
- Start develop website
- Test run and fix error of the website
- Contact client for missing information that needed
- Complete the website

2 - Assign task to create company profile document by supervisor

- Task given in a group
- Each of us have their own part to do
- Discuss with other student about the task
- Given some explanation about the task
- Redo and correction
- Combine all part and complete the document

3 - No task were given

- Doing some research about coding languages
- Help other intern student with their tasks

4 - Assign a PHP task as a group

- Discuss and develop the php project
- The php project is about basal metabolic rate calculator
- Fix error during the development
- Complete the task and review by supervisor

5 - Given a website from client to review and fix

- The task assigned to UMP’s intern students
- Nothing much need to fix
- Client ask for hosting the website
- Dealing with client about hosting and domain services
- Client agree with the services
- Ask senior programmer to help with host the website
 CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the internship has been an excellent and rewarding experience, I gained
much knowledge and became better at developing a website. There are still more things that I
need to learn to improve myself. Needless to say, the work that has been assigned to me is still
not flawless but it can be improved over time. As someone with low knowledge in php and
mysql, I believe my time spent to discover and study about it was well worth and useful to build
a fully functional web service. Lastly, the main things I learned during my internship are the
importance of teamwork and time management.
