General Questions
• What are the competitions under the EU Whiz: Filipino Youth of the FEUture?
- There are three competitions that college students can join in this year’s EU Whiz: Filipino
Youth of the FEUture:
o Online Trivia
o Video Competition
o Digital Art Competition
• I’m a foreign student who’s currently enrolled in a school/university that’s accredited by the
Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Am I eligible to join a team?
- Competitions are only open to Filipino students who are currently enrolled in
schools/universities accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the
school year 2021 – 2022.
• What are the questions that will be asked during the competition?
- Questions for the Online Trivia Competition will revolve around general facts about the
European Union (history, trade and development policies and programmes), EU-Philippines
relations, current events (COVID 19, Green Deal, Circular Economy), EU Values, as well as EU
and EU Member States’ pop culture and trends (ex. sports, cuisine, celebrities). References
for the competition can be found online and will also be posted weekly on the European
Union Delegation in the Philippines’ official Facebook page.
• Can we submit our original artworks that have already won in other competition (s)?
- No. Some competitions require artists to transfer some level of ownership of the artwork to
the project proponents. To avoid any legal issues for your team, artworks previously entered
in other competitions will not be accepted.
• What happens if my entry fails to meet any of the requirement/specification stated on the
competition mechanics?
- All entries/applications will be screened and evaluated by the secretariat team before
handing over to the judges. Failure to comply on any of the specification/requirement may
result in disqualification.
• How will the entries be judged? Who will judge the entries?
- After passing the initial screening process, the competition secretariat will endorse the
qualified entries to the panel of judges who will then evaluate each entry guided by the
criteria outlined in the mechanics. Qualified entries will be judged by industry leaders and
practitioners. The composition of the judging panel will be announced on the European
Union Delegation in the Philippines Facebook page.
