1.3 CODE AND REGULATIONS

The ACMV system design and installation will comply with the latest edition and
requirements of the relevant standards, codes and guides issued by the local authorities and
internationally recognised institutions including the followings:

• ASHRAE Handbook 2011- HVAC Applications,


• ASHRAE Handbook 2011- HVAC Systems & Equipment
• ASHRAE Handbook 2001- Fundamentals
• SS 553 Singapore Code of Practice for Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation for
Buildings.
• UBBL( Malaysia)
• MS 1472 for Pressurization System
• MS 1780 for Smoke Control System

1.4 DESIGN CRITERIA

With reference to the project brief, the following criteria are proposed for the design of the
ACMV services. These design conditions are used as input to the E20 Carrier Software to
determine the Cooling Load for the premises.

1.4.1 Air-Conditioning

- 28.3oC wet bulb
