1. OBJECTIVE
This document details the instrumentation fittings which should be installed on every Xmas Tree
and Wellhead, prior to handing over for production operations.
The objective of this document is to provide an overview of the various fittings required to build
manifolds which will complete the barrier envelope on the different parts of the Xmas Tree and
wellhead after completion deployment. Also it shall serve to formalise the review process for
this information.

2. SCOPE
The scope of this document is to provide details of the manifolds which should be installed to
complete the barrier envelope prior to handing the well over to the Field Operations Department.
Any deviation from these configurations shall not be considered without the written consent of
the Drilling & Wells Manager.

5.8 Manifold for WHO SSSV

1 manifold is required to be installed for SSSV.
Left with Sigma Fusible Plug (100158074 FSV Kit Part 1 supplied by Hytor) for well handover to
Field Operations. Engineering & Construction to install FSV Kit Part 2 (100158075) after well
handover.
Appendix 3 indicates the critical measurement of the Sigma Valve. Due to the system being fail
closed, over time the cap degrades resulting in an eventual leak.
Newly installed valves measure: 4-13/16” (4.8125”). This measurement is to be recorded for
future Well Services/Wellhead Maintenance activities.

As highlighted in the SD-NOC-DW-614, Drilling & Wells hand over SSSV to Field Ops with a
“Locked Close” (temporary sign) for SSSV kit installation and pressure test.
Field Ops will ensure that SSSV Needle Valve is in “Locked Open” position (final sign).
Then, Drilling & Wells will only be operating this SSSV Needle Valve after this point and will be
tracked in each well handover certificate, as per SD-NOC-DW-615.

6.2 Change of Wellhead System to BHGE Vetco Generation 6

During the Gallaf project the Vendor supplying and installing the Wellhead system will change to
BHGE Vetco. They will be providing a system that has different connection into the main body of
the tree and wellhead (i.e. the Pressure Transmitter tie-in point and the WHO’s), all hubs will
remain to have ½” NPT (female) ports connection points.

6.3 Manifold for WHO Hydraulically-Operated Downhole Flow Control Valve

1 manifold is required to be installed for each Hydraulically-Operated Downhole Flow Control
Valve and 1 manifold for common return line. Each line will be tied-in to the Smart Well Control
System (SWCS).
In total, 3 manifolds are required to be installed on the WH for a 2-zone smart completion.
Consequently, 4 manifolds are required to be installed on the WH for a 3-zone smart completion.
Finally, 5 manifolds are required to be installed for a 4-zone smart completion.

FC

The manifold FC allows for direct hook-up from the WH to the SWCS, and the added ability of
tie-in at the WH for flushing and/ or intervention function.
The connection for tie-in is 1/2" NPT female.
