The hashtag #800KMinusOne was trending on Twitter from March 4 to 5 after Vice

President Leni Robredo received a warm welcome from ‘Kakampink’ supporters in her

campaign rally at various venues in Cavite. #800KMinusOne is a direct refusal and

opposition to Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla’s controversial statement in February that

presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will get the province’s 800,000 plus

votes.

Remulla even claimed that Marcos Jr. need not to worry for any campaign expenses for

the province for he promised the support of all the mayors of Cavite. Remulla and his clan are

officially supporting Marcos for president and Sara Duterte for vice president in the May

elections. Meanwhile, organizers said ‘47,000 and counting’ kakampink Caviteños showed

up for the grand rally of Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan at General Trias Sports Park, a show of

force proving that Cavite could help Robredo win the presidency.
