A new kind of structure

1. Pfizer is the world's largest research company and is a well-known pharmaceutical company.
So much of their work is based on research, strategy and innovation. Pfizer's average employee
spends 20 to 40 percent of his or her support time. (document creation, typing notes, research,
data manipulation, meeting planning) and only 60 to 80 percent of the work in information
(strategy, design, communication, collaboration, critical thinking) This is why Pfizer is beginning
to find a solution to this problem to increase efficiency and their performance. Pfizer is
developing a new type of building called the Office of the Future (OOF) where it connects to an
outsourcing company, where Pfizer can contact various employees via email, where they can
connect to any work around the world and get details of their requested work by clicking one
magic button on their desktop computer . Through this process data time analysis has been
reduced and the work has eliminated their boring work.
2. This approach Office of the Future (OOF), renamed PfizerWorks allows employees to switch to
tedious and time-consuming tasks by clicking one button on their computer desktop by Pfizer is
a good decision taken by Pfizer CEO. The structural outcomes of this approach in terms of the six
elements of organizational structure are as follows: Professionalism: Pfizer also classifies their
functions into a separate component and reduces the workload of their work by making
expertise through departmental departments under the supervision of managers. Pfizer also
divides the door into various areas. Command series: means that before one employee decides
to assign a group to a particular task they must follow a series of instructions. Term of control:
Authority, responsibility and referral are higher for those above and below for those below. It
will be reduced. Unilateral and international power allocation: Pfizer has chosen to reduce
regulatory power so that they can implement decisions and achieve the goals of the
organization. They have been assigned positions so that they can communicate information
from employee to employee no matter where they are. Legalization: No changes will be
required to formalize the firm.
3. Yes this arrangement will work for other types of organization because it helps to increase the
efficiency and effectiveness of the organizations. It will work well for organizations with core
functions that do not involve advertising firms.I think this type of arrangement will be of great
help to large companies where employees can cater for a variety of supportive and knowledge-
related activities and where no efficiency can be documented. etc. It does not work well in
banks or other financial institutions as the chances of data leaks are high.
4. I think the role that organizational structure plays in the functioning and functioning of an
organization is a major factor. If the organization had not used work technology, it would have
taken a lot of time to do the work closer. This structure enables the company to function
effectively, to be accountable to its internal and external stakeholders, and to adapt to changing
market conditions. Composing is made easier by a few managers, and students are already
learning the survival and success of the company.
