“My Favorite Invention”, by Rocío Bocanegra

Over the years, technology has progressively advanced and countless inventions have
surprised us and became part of our lives. One of them was the VHS, of which I have very good
memories.

One of the reasons why I inclined my preference to this invention, was the fact that we were
allowed access to see the big screen at home and thus provide the opportunity to share
pleasant moments with the family, which became habitual and generated great expectations
especially on weekends.

In addition to generating great interest in the public, it was exciting to go to the stores to buy
the videos of all the films in release, as well as to see the most recent video clips of the
fashionable singers or concerts in different parts of the world of our idols, as well as the
specials or documentaries of the BBC or National Geographic.

In conclusion, it was the beginning of a new era in terms of technology that allowed us to open
new strategies not only in education but also the development of new inventions for the
benefit of a future that still has many surprises and novelties to discover.
