Business
CubeSat Skyhook
A very interesting and creative idea to apply your CubeSat. Using hooks to pick up an
asteroid seems novel but reasonable and that asteroid needs to be close enough. As a
business, it has potentials.

What is your business model? How do you intend to recoup your costs of this CubeSat
test? Who would be your customers? Are there initial cost estimates? What is the return
to investment and how much money do you need to set this up this Skyhook business?
What if you miss it? After hooking it, how do you intend to swing it back to earth?
Additional associated costs? How big is this market?

Good cost comparisons. What other companies would fall into this supply chain? Some
mentioning of Space travel. A bit more explanation would be useful for the listener.

Finally, where are your sources (references)? Where did those numbers or figures come
from? What are you asking for? How much resources do you need over time?

STEM
Skyhooks - concept video done in mock interview mode – good presentation overall.
However, the base concept is already mature (going back to the 1960’s) but a CubeSat
implementation may be new and this could be seen potentially as a pathfinder. The
production quality and CubeSat model graphics are excellent. Have the team considered
that a tether could collide with debris? Some background research is needed to establish
current knowledge and plans in the field of this overall idea, i.e. see:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyhook_(structure). The team needs to establish what is
different/novel about their CubeSat idea compared to what is already being done.
