Concepts Of Analogy

‘Analogy’ means ‘Correspondence’.In the questions based on the analogy, a particular kind of
relationship is displayed. Identifying this relation and choosing the right answer from the options
provided. The analogy questions are used to check the overall knowledge of the candidate, the
power of reason, the ability to think clearly and accurately.

Types of analogy

There are three types of analogy.

Below are given some common relationships which will help you identify words with similar
congruence.

3. Analogy based on Letters

In these types of questions, a candidate is required to find out the relationship between two given
groups of letters related to each other in some way and then choose either a letter group or pair
consisting of similarly related letter groups. The following example will explain the above
concept.
