SAFETY FIRST
Outstanding safety and visibility.
T he New Holland demolition excavators feature a
first class safety cab with top (FOPS) and front guards,
tested according to International Standard ISO 10262.
“Operator Protective Guards” Level II: the highest level
in terms of safety.

T he cabs are equipped with extra

working lights and with an additional
washer and wiper to keep the transparent
roof clean, thereby enhancing visibility in
any weather condition.

A 30° tiltable cab, fully hydraulically

operated, is available as an option.

A t the top of boom, a robust shield is

positioned in such a way to deflect any debris
that falls during demolition, thus increasing
operators’ protection and safety

E lectronic sensors are positioned at the

three articulation points of boom and arms,
keeping the relevant angles constantly under
control.
The signals coming from these sensors are
processed by the onboard computer and
monitored in the multifunctional display located
inside the cab.
If, while working, the relevant angles reach
the pre-set safety limits, optical and acoustic
warnings alert the operator.

H eavier counterweights, which do not

amend the standard machine dimensions,
provide outstanding stability.
The E485's extendable undercarriage gauge
further enhances its already superb stability.

S low return valves and special software

installed in the on-board computer provide
extra smooth operation when working in high
reach.

A nti-drop valves, fitted to all demolition

attachment cylinders, avoid any risk
connected to a sudden loss of hydraulic
pressure.

RELIABLE DESIGN
D emolition Excavators work in very severe
conditions.
That’s why all New Holland demolition machines
feature:
- a robust shield which protects the crusher
cylinder
- hydraulic hose layout designed to provide
maximum protection.
- a bolted undercover to protect valves and
hoses positioned inside the undercarriage.
- a centralised automatic lubrication
system which reduces both failure risks
and maintenance costs.

VERSATILITY
N ew Holland Demolition Booms are of segmented-
type design to enable configuration to the most suitable
working height.
Removable third and fourth boom sections maximise
the job versatility of the E385 and E485.
The machines’ reach can be adjusted to efficiently
match structures up to 23 or 27 meters high: the height
of a 7 or 9 storey building.
An optional monoblock adapter allows the operator to
convert both New Holland Demolition Machines into
standard excavators to perform normal digging activities
A mechanical coupler makes it easier to change the
attachments.
Stop valves prevent oil leakage during the operation.
Transportation cages are available upon request.
